This person is only notable as a YouTuber and is not well known outside of YouTube. Subscribers do not define notability of course and therefore fails WP:GNG and WP:ENT as mostly YouTube based or related to social media with not enough significant coverage. There are not too many references relating to this person and most relate to his all stations project which is the only thing with limited external coverage. Tube challenge world record is not quite enough to keep this article. We might keep the all stations page with a brief tube challenge mention but delete this one. - Comment. The nominator is a new user who has only edited Geoff Marshall and this AfD. Their first edit was today, September 14, 2021. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 21:16, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Question for nominator/OP - @YoutuberReporter3: could you please tell us about your BEFORE search? I'm failing to understand why existing citations such as the Daily Telegraph, BBC, BBC News, and Evening Standard are not being considered. Is there something I'm missing? I don't know much about the Londonist, so more info on that would also be helpful. Thank you in advance. Netherzone (talk) 01:03, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep Notability has been established by the sources of article. Brayan ocaner (talk) 09:05, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep - I can see many reputed sources cited on the page. Easy WP:GNG pass. 80.1.27.141 (talk) 11:47, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep because the person passes WP:BIO, WP:GNG, and WP:BASIC. The nominator appears to be claiming that the article is a case of WP:BLP1E, however, according to the sources present in the article Geoff Marshall has done the tube challenge at least three different times with three different people. He's gotten news coverage for each of these events from 2004 all the way through to 2017. I would think these count as seperate events the same way that an athlete competing in multiple competitions would be considered different events. One of the BBC sources focuses on the charity, which also seems like a seperate thing. I would guess a few Google searches might yeild further events. Either way it seems like a merge discussion or some other WP:ATD should have been pursued first. TipsyElephant (talk) 12:31, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep - As noted above, he has attracted quite a lot of coverage in reputable sources (and not just for having videos on YouTube), so I think he clearly meets notability requirements. Dunarc (talk) 20:55, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep - As said by others, Geoff has attracted media coverage in reputable sources, and notability has been established by the number and variety of independent sources. Rillington (talk) 11:48, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep per above passes WP:GNG.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 22:49, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep - I'm finding enough in the existing article refs and online - outside of YouTube - to see that he is notable. The article can be improved but that is not a reason to delete. Netherzone (talk) 23:51, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
