Unsalvageable article, which is totally LLM'd [1] with one line of passing mentions: The Mujahideen managed to seize Samarkhel village east of Jalalabad. Topic is scarcely notable, WP:TNT applies anyways. – Garuda ^Talk! 23:30, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is a hoax. I started with the Al Qaeda in Its Own Words source. No mention of Samarkhel on page 45 at all. Other stuff entirely fails to check out, too. Stenersen 2017, p. 22 isn't about a siege of Samarkhel. It's about the Battle of Jalalabad (1989) with no mention of Samarkhel being besieged. Exactly the same goes for Roy 2014, p. 135.
