Cree Wikipedia

Disputed PROD. This is a Wikipedia language edition with fewer than 150 articles. I can't find any independent references to the website's existence. It clearly fails to meet the standards of WP:WEB and notability is not inherited by virtue of the notability of Wikipedia as a whole. Graham (talk) 03:39, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cree Wikipedia seems to satisfy WP:WEB's requirement that sites "be notable and of historical significance". I confess that, as a Wikipedia contributor, I am probably biased about the historical significance of Wikipedia. My defense is to argue that everyone else in this discussion probably has similar bias. Regarding notability, it clearly needs third-party sources... such as these:
- Kornai, András. 2013. "Digital language death"
- Dalby, Andrew. 2007. "Wikipedia(s) on the language map of the world"
- Baxter, Robert Neal. 2009. "New technologies and terminological pressure in lesser-used languages" (mainly about Breton, but mentions Cree and other Native American language Wikipedias)

Redirect to List of Wikipedias - Another language Wiki appeared here before and I'm sure there was consensus to Merge or Redirect .... It was a quite sometime ago ..., Anyway no evidence of notability but redirect is always preferred over deletion . –Davey2010^Talk 23:25, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
