Semi-procedural nomination, as this should qualify for WP:G4 (speedy delation of recreated content, related to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Orbiter stuff - assuming this was recreated; it's plausible the current article is about a different entity). Anyway, The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline requirement nor the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) supplementary essay. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. Pinging User:Shirt58 who tried to start an AFD but somehow didn't finish. The best WP:PRESERVE option could be redirecting this to Space Odyssey but that article doesn't mention this location, so it could violate MOS:EGG... Ps. I'll add that the entry is effectively unreferenced except a quote of uknown origin, and the 'Other uses' section is ORish likely violating WP:IPC too. _{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here} 07:03, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - A minor fictional location with no real coverage in reliable sources. The location is not even a particularly important part of the plots of either the book or movie (if I'm remembering correctly, it is simply the base that Dr. Floyd stops at on his way to investigate the Tycho monolith and has no role in the plot beyond that), and there is no significant coverage in reliable sources that discuss or mention it outside of recaps of that part of the plot. The plot summaries in our articles on both the book and the movie do mention it, so either could work as a potential Redirect target. But, as this article has no secondary sources, and some of the portions seem like pure WP:OR, it should not be retained even if a Redirect is deemed useful. Redirect to 2001: A Space Odyssey, rather than the franchise, because it is most prominently featured in the first book/movie, and there's nothing about locations in Space Odyssey. Merging might be reasonable as well. Jclemens (talk) 06:07, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
