Vakinankaratra is a dialect of Malagasy spoken in the region of the same name.[1]

Classification

Vakinankaratra is an Austronesian language part of the Plateaux branch of Malagasy language.[2]

Characteristics

Vakinankaratra dialect is a dialect very close to Merina but influenced by Betsileo.
