Apology

[edit]

My apology on that erroneous warning message. That was a blunder on my part. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 00:24, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No problem Vinamrsachdeva (talk) 07:58, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on India Public Wealth requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Peter Thiel Georgism

[edit]

Hey -- I removed your contribution today of Peter Thiel to the Georgism Wikipedia page. The quote is interesting but his private land investments are more compelling evidence to the contrary. Also correct me if I'm wrong but a reading of Zero to One is consistent with the idea that monopoly rents are a powerful driver of innovation. Anyways lmk if you disagree :) User:madeleinesinging — Preceding undated comment added 23:37, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Seafund

[edit]

Hello Vinamrsachdeva,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Seafund for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

I've contested the speedy deletion; see Talk:Seafund#Contested_deletion. Vinamrsachdeva (talk) 12:21, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed wording that might seem promotional. I think now, the article has an extremely neutral tone. See this diff. Vinamrsachdeva (talk) 12:41, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Vinamrsachdeva. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Vinamrsachdeva. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Vinamrsachdeva|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 10:05, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am not paid or compensated in any way for my edits. I am a volunteer editor. If there are specific compliance issues, point them out and I’ll fix them. Vinamrsachdeva (talk) 12:19, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need to be specifically paid for edits to be a paid editor. Any paid relationship, like employment, triggers the disclosure requirement of the Terms of Use.
You claim to have personally created and personally own the copyright to the Seafund logo. What is your relationship to Seafund? 331dot (talk) 13:31, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not employed by Seafund, and neither am I party to any contract (written or verbal) with Seafund.
I had downloaded their logo from their website in .webp format and converted to .svg. I don't remember claiming that I own the copyright for their logo but if I had mis-clicked any declaration, let me know how can I reverse it. Vinamrsachdeva (talk) 13:56, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You will need to immediately without delay go to Commons and request deletion of the logo. The editors there can help with that, if needed.
Images are actually not relevant to the draft process, which only considers the text and sources. Images can wait until the draft is accepted and placed in the encyclopedia.
Logos are typically uploaded to this Wikipedia directly under "fair use" rules, which does carry some restrictions(such as being unable to be used in drafts) but does allow limited use in articles. Again, though, you don't need to worry about this yet. Images are an enhancement, not a requirement. 331dot (talk) 15:28, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've requested speedy deletion of the Commons logo file. Vinamrsachdeva (talk) 15:47, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
