Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to 1979 Pacific typhoon season, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 01:39, 10 September 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I'm OzzyOlly. I noticed that you recently removed content from The Holocaust in Hungary without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Images and captions
[edit]Hi Utibe Noah Silas, you are adding images to articles, that's a good idea. However, please take care of the captions. E.g., "Plate 38 (Garth, 1958) (cropped)" is not a proper caption. Also, it may be a good idea to move the images to the box if there is one in the article. See, e.g., here. --Cyfal (talk) 21:31, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- Ok Thank for this guide. I really appreciate this hint. I will follow this correction. However, I crave your continuous guidance until I become the best at this. Please should you notice any other mistake, pleas know they are not intentional. I will keep correcting as they come up while striving to keep improving. Again Thank you so much Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 21:36, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- "Theater District - panoramio" is also a bad caption. You generally shouldn't just use the filename as the caption. It is not relevant to Wikipedia's usage of the photo that this file was once hosted on a website called Panoramio. Belbury (talk) 14:20, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- ok. pls educate me. This picture was suggested to be used for this article and because Understandably I don't know much about the building, so using the file name as a known caption is only common-sensical. In a situation where I encounter this again what do you suggest as a better approach??
- I really want to learn so I await your kind response please Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 14:32, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Captions for how to write a good caption.
- If you don't know what a picture is depicting, you should research its description and categories on Commons, or just find a different picture. Belbury (talk) 15:26, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 16:03, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- One additional remark on captions: The latin name of plants and animals (constisting of genus and species) are spelled in italics, e.g., see my modification here. More about this can be found at MOS:ORGANISMS. --Cyfal (talk) 18:03, 8 July 2025 (UTC)

Image choices
[edit]Hi there, you asked on my talk page if using the first picture suggested on the toolforge list is grounds for reverting
and said that you use only the first picture as suggested and wouldn't intentionally use a wrong picture for an article
.
Any reverts you're experiencing should have edit summaries saying why they were reverted, you can see this if you click the "View history" tab on a page.
I reverted your addition of File:F805 Evertsen.jpg to the Operation Ocean Shield article because the Operation Ocean Shield article doesn't appear to mention the F805 Evertsen at any point. It's quite possible that the first picture suggested on Toolforge isn't actually a useful one! I don't know what Toolforge is, but it may just be taking the image from Wikidata - and Wikidata is written by humans who sometimes make mistakes (and can also be vandalised by people introducing deliberate errors).
If you don't personally know whether a picture is relevant to an article, you should not add it. Belbury (talk) 15:22, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. However, I will keep improving. Should you see any similar mistakes going forward, please know they are not intentional Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 16:06, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos 2025
[edit]As noted above by other users, please take care when adding images to articles. If more complaints persist, you would be disqualified for disruptive editing. I’ve made some corrections to your captions (including using non-English sentences). Please before you continue, go back to your contributions and check for these mistakes. Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 17:53, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Reading Beans Okay thank you for the feedback my mentor. I will pause here and evaluate my contributions so far. I
- please note that if there are observable mistakes, particularly with the non-english sentences, they're not intentional. It's the fun of contributing within amble free time now that I'm done with my semester work that's my motivation not the prizes. I will soon resume next semester work and will not have time to contribute. - No problem Silas. Thank you for your contributions so far, happy to see you improve more! Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 18:26, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Reading Beans I appreciate this coming from you boss. Another thing pls clarify me. I used to think that disruptive editing means one makes more mistakes than productive edits. would you say that's the case with me so far?
- if your answer comes back affirmative, I will sincerely stop contributing to this amazing wpwp project as I have no intentions to edit disruptively or get blocked in the process.
- I really want to contribute to wpwp. let me know if I should continue. As it's already obvious, I am really enjoying this wpwp project more than any other projects so far that why, I really want to guided on ways I can better channel this new found passion of mine please.
- I will appreciate all hints in this regards my boss.
- Best regards Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 18:39, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- Disruptive editing means that you’re not taking back criticism and making amendments but that’s not entirely the case with you, I’m sorry for using that word. Your works are a lot more productive and I appreciate the works you do here! Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 18:55, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Reading Beans Thank you so much boss. you're indeed the best. Now I can sleep. Thank you.
- However, I will match breaks so I can evaluate and watch if we have further corrections then I can pick up from there.
- Again Thank you sir for taking the time. I really appreciate Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 19:12, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Fram. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Jason F. Wright have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Fram (talk) 11:12, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Fram I appreciate your work. pls know that the observed errors are not intentional as they're a product of a wrongly generated list of suggested inclusion.
- I have noticed this particular applies to the part of the list I used today. I promise to skip this part of the list totally.
- Thank you for understanding Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 11:34, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- You are responsible for what you insert, not some list you may use from somewhere. You need to check that the image is depciting the same subject as the one in the article. I only gave you a warning for this one as it was extremely obvious, but there are too many errors in your work in general. I see that these issuse aren't new and that you have been warned about incorrect images in the past as well. I would urge you to be a lot more careful if you don't want to be topic banned from such additions. Fram (talk) 11:37, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Fram Quite a very discouraging remarks there. I think I'm pausing my contributions for now as I don't intend my good efforts to be a product of an aggressive ban whatever the category as none of the noticed mistakes are ever intentional.
- while we contribute to Wikipedia, one should not be expected to know independently exact image of subjects based on personal opinions but should base accuracy on the veracity of other contributors work as have been allowed already on wikicommons which is what I did. You're within your rights to reverts once mistakes are observed which is inevitable but to condemn sincere efforts seems too aggressive and ill motivated. Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 11:46, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- E.g. File:William Young.jpg, which you added here, is not a Commons file, and is not included in his Wikidata entry either. "one should not be expected to know independently exact image of subjects based on personal opinions but should base accuracy on the veracity of other contributors work" My reverts have nothing to do with "personal opinions" but with the description of the image or date not matching the subject. This is just not a normal image for someone born in 1940, so it was immediately clear that this needed extra checking. Do you actually look at the images you add? The cat one that lead to this warning seems to suggest you don't. Fram (talk) 11:57, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Fram I had a glitch while working this morning and I intend to trace it. I won't on a normal circumstance add a cat to a human name. this is clearly a revert I appreciated but your choice of words seem to indicate that all my edits some of which I have received many thanks recently are suddenly erroneous.
- pls go through my work again and check if you would see similar mistakes. your sudden generalization of my work is what I don't appreciate.
- Please know I left my PC in a crowded work space, and it's obvious someone else worked on it so I wouldn't know how an image of a cat found it's way to my edits.
- I apologize if that is so and plead to be understood on the basis of my excellent inputs recently not condemned for a single mistake that is a product of a glitch or wrong hands handling my system. I sincerely will be more careful going forward.
- thank you for all you do. Please go through all my work and reassess me. I want to trust your review because if what you said is true, then your recent view on my work could as well be an angered response at the instance of what you noticed.
- Thank you for an underserved Understanding. Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 12:15, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- Don't lie. Don't pretend someone else made that edit. It's a ridiculous excuse. Fram (talk) 12:26, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Fram Your ability to have assumed I'm lying is preposterous and unreasonable particularly as I'm not with reference to the cat image.
- All my edits are done from this list https://fist.toolforge.org/wd4wp/#/enwiki/133440 and seeing I don't know any one of the subjects. I base my choice on the foremost and best image of the suggested list.
- To think I invent the picture I add and I'm lying is clearly the height of assumptions which I seriously don't appreciate as it's not a quality of good editors nor contributors.
- you sound biased and eager to proof a point. I just hope you won't revert all my work. Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 12:42, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Captions
[edit]Please provide captions when adding images to articles. It is absolutely useless to the reader to see an image like File:Lathrobium fulvipenne (Gravenhorst, 1806).png on Lathrobiini without knowing what species the image depicts. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 06:04, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
- Alright. Thank you Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 06:08, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
- Also when adding captions, avoid a caption that just repeats the article title. See the guidelines at MOS:CAPLENGTH. For example the caption might say where the photo was taken. I updated your caption at Gagea altaica. Declangi (talk) 01:26, 30 August 2025 (UTC)

After adding an image
[edit]After adding an image to an article that doesn't already have one, do update the article's Talk page to remove the "needs-photo" or "needs-image" flag. As I've done here. Thanks, Declangi (talk) 01:31, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
- I deeply appreciate this guide. Thank you Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 02:05, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
- Talk:Quercus orocantabrica is another Talk page that had a "needs-image" parameter. Declangi (talk) 00:54, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- I actually don't know how to do what you ask. I'm still learning. Pls could you send a link where I can learn what you are expecting more effectively? I don't mind taking time from tomorrow to correct pages that have the ''need-image'' issues. Thank you in anticipation of further guidance. Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 03:00, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Talk:Quercus orocantabrica is another Talk page that had a "needs-image" parameter. Declangi (talk) 00:54, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- This diff here is an example. I removed the "needs-photo" parameter. On other articles, the parameter may be called "needs-image". Declangi (talk) 04:58, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Clearly not all article I add new picture need this attention so how do I know the one that needs this additional edit? Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 05:09, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- True, this doesn't apply to all articles. The quick way is to check the article's Talk page for a small camera icon in its assessment box. The page Talk:Acacia benthamii has the camera icon, for example. Declangi (talk) 06:07, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Will I just turn the yes to no? However, to reduce the back and forth, I will take time and learn this part from Sept 1st. I appreciate your patience . Thank you for all you do Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 06:16, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, turning the yes to no is one way. Or remove the parameter entirely as I did at Talk:Gagea altaica with this edit. Declangi (talk) 07:38, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

Hello! I'm Belbury. I just wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the page Black Hawk (nightclub) have been reverted because they appear to have added incorrect information. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source, discuss it on the article's talk page, or leave me a message on my talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. You added a photo of the corner of Golden Gate and Jones St, which is two blocks away and shows nothing of what would have been the Black Hawk site. Belbury (talk) 17:22, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Will send in a more comprehensive response. Thank you for the observation. Utibe Noah Silas (talk) 17:25, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
