ClueBot III archives by month
Hi, Theknine2. You added ClueBot III at some talk pages Special:Diff/1160903541, Special:Diff/1157416632, Special:Diff/1146403839. I am concerned about over-segmentation. Sawol (talk) 04:01, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, could you further elaborate about the "over-segmentation" point? I'm not completely familiar with procedures for archiving talk pages, I only added these since those talk pages seemed cluttered with very old discussions (some over a decade old). Thanks! Beyoncé album booklet images
Hi, theknine2. The cover parameter in song infoboxes is not for the inclusion of images from album booklets. Per the WP:NFCC, usage of copyrighted content is to be kept to a minimum. Artworks of songs released as singles are included on their articles to help readers identify those releases in stores or at digital retailers. This is not the case with images found inside album booklets as only the album cover would be required to identify those releases. A lot of the booklet pictures you have restored were deleted after a deletion discussion went unopposed and they should be removed again. Best, NØ 18:55, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks for informing me. Theknine2 (talk) 19:38, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- You are welcome. I am assuming you would be okay with them being removed? I would just like to double check since the bot notifications about the images being orphaned can definitely be annoying.--NØ 02:07, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, I’m okay with it. Thanks. Theknine2 (talk) 06:17, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi, this partial block is preventing me from using the InternetArchiveBot tool, and I was told by a user at metawiki to request to be unblocked so I can use the tool for pages on English Wikipedia. This edit at the above page has been undone as its original research and unverified opinion. There is no hard and fast rule that songs have to be released to radio to be considered a single (just look at Ciara and Britney's discography, not all songs are sent to radio). Also the US is the main country where radio adds matter. Elsewhere in the world, UK/Japan, there's no such thing as sending a song to radio, all of Beyonce's singles are released for download. For a song to be a promotional single, it needs to be called one. Given that 16 Carriages and Texas Hold 'Em were both released simultaneously, both played on radio, both have single covers it appears they're both singles. You beed a valid and reliable source to say otherwise. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 12:35, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to Project 1989

Hey, hey, hey! Just thinking while you've been getting down with all these article reviews and DYK nominations in this platform, so I have invited you to this. sick. project.
All puns aside, I, have invited you to join my little project, Project 1989, which is made to expand Wikipedia's coverage of Taylor Swift's 1989 era. It would mainly focus on creating articles and improving them to GA/FA statuses, but given your track record with articles on Wikipedia, I know places where you can put your experience to good use.
Interested? Drop by this project's article and sign your name on the list, there is too many blank spaces there. You can still help out a bit if you want to. Thanks! brachy08 (chat here lol) 02:32, 24 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello!
Hello! I hope you're doing well, first of all could I ask why you merged The Essential Mariah Carey article to her 2nd compliation album Greatest Hits (Mariah Carey album)? I want to keep The Essential Mariah Carey as independent article. Camilasdandelions (talk) 10:13, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for reaching out. As mentioned in the article, TEMC is simply a re-release of Greatest Hits, particularly for the initial international edition, as it shares the same tracklist as Greatest Hits. The US edition tweaks this a little with a slightly different tracklist, but is still considered a re-release of Greatest Hits. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 10:28, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- Omg, I have never seen the re-released of compliation album! that's interesting :)

- then how her compilations albums will be count? i mean, The Rarities, is called as 'eighth' compilations album but if TEMC is re-released of GH, then TEMC will probably be expelled from her complitaion album counting.. also I'm curious about her fourth compilation album 'Playlist: The Very Best Of Mariah Carey' and her seventh compilation, 'Japan Best'. Thanks for kind reply! Camilasdandelions (talk) 10:36, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- You can find the full list of compilation albums at Mariah Carey albums discography#Compilation albums. Yes, the list does include Playlist and Japan Best, and does not include TEMC. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 10:46, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- As I checked, this table includes TEMC... should I delete this? Camilasdandelions (talk) 10:54, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oops, not sure how I missed that, I’ll delete it for you. Will also fix the albums count in The Rarities. Thank you for pointing it out! TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 15:15, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- You welcome! I additionally fixed 8 -> 7 in her discography article. By the way, is it possible to call some bum as "nth" without reliable sources? I have suffered with this problem, like Deeper Well, it is said fifth by Kacey official account but actually it's sixth due to previous 5 albums. So I'm curious if there's a criteria of album counting on wikipedia! Camilasdandelions (talk) 15:51, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- I assume the issue stems from Kacey's Christmas album? Like Mariah discography, the Christmas albums are also counted as studio albums, so Deeper Well is her sixth. Not sure why, but that’s the rule on the Wikipedia. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 18:35, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- I agree. I think her carol album got expelled too. By the way, is that rule specified in Wikipedia documents? I want to see them, or is that rule like tacit rule? Camilasdandelions (talk) 01:28, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- I think unspecified rule? Because it has been applied for every artist with Christmas albums in their discography. (e.g. Kelly Clarkson) TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 10:27, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah! I agree with that also I think Latin albums (e.g. Mi Reflejo) should be regarded as studio album. But I saw some people regard christmas and latin album or like Glitter (soundtrack), can't be studio albums. I'm not sure how can I persuade them, I even used 'standard of studio album' (includes 8+ songs and over 30 mins) but they didn't agree because that standard isn't as fixed as a rule. Can I ask your opinion about this? Camilasdandelions (talk) 12:52, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- Soundtrack albums, such as Harlequin (Lady Gaga album) (see: Talk:Harlequin (Lady Gaga album)#Studio album or soundtrack album?) and The Bodyguard (soundtrack), are not considered as the artist's studio album, unless specified otherwise. In the case of Glitter (soundtrack), it was also promoted as Mariah's eighth studio album (and was expected to commercially perform like one too, leading to her dismissal from her record label after it underperformed).
 - As for the "standard of studio album", it is based on what it was promoted as by the record label, and not its duration. For example, The Album (Blackpink album) would typically be considered an EP as it is only 24 minutes long, but the record label promoted it as a studio album. Conversely, The Fame Monster is long enough to be a studio album at 34 minutes long, but the record label promoted it as an EP / expanded edition of The Fame.
 - Hope my explanation has helped a little. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 07:46, 27 January 2025 (UTC)

 - Hi. I just wannna tell you that the information is confirmed by HDD and also Universal Music China. On the official Weibo account of Universal Music China, it confirms the Singapore dates are part of the tour and the only dates in Asia in 2025. Rockiron99 (talk) 09:15, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for reaching out. Maybe the Mayhem promotional concerts article could be merged into The Mayhem Ball. However, in the meantime, its fairly clear that they are two different shows. The earlier Coachella/Mexico/Rio/Singapore dates are much larger sized events than the arena-only Mayhem Ball shows, which Gaga described as: "But with the MAYHEM Ball, I wanted to create a different kind of experience, something more intimate—closer, more connected—that lends itself to the live theatrical art I love to create". TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 09:20, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
- Additionally, on Gaga's Live Nation page ([1]), the earlier shows are not considered part of the Mayhem Ball. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 09:21, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
 - Yup, you're right. I think since these additional dates in MX, BR and SG are kind of special but it's also part of the tour. FACs
Hi! I don't believe we've met yet. My name's MFTP Dan, I've been editing music since 2014, and I'd be pleased to help you out with your Mariah FAC. Before I do, however - and don't feel obligated - I'm just trying to reach out for my own album FAC, see if there are any takers who might be willing to help, as it is nearing archival by timeout. I've reached out to numerous avenues with only one taker, so I thought it'd be worth a try.
Again, no obligation on your part - I'm just being a beggar. Don't think of it as a condition of me helping you; a guy's just desperate for reviews at this point and I'll do whatever it takes. I'll be helping you with yours anyway.

- I will try to review if I can, but I am personally not very good at reviewing! I am brand new to the FAC process. If I am able to offer comments, I will. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 07:26, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
- It's the thought that's nice, I appreciate it. Admittedly, I've never reviewed a compilation before, but many studio albums. mftp dan oops 14:07, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you too! TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 15:29, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

I reverted this edit of yours which violated the guideline at Template:Infobox_musical_artist which says musicians are "listed in order of joining with no other notation than names." We don't put "prominent" members above founding members. Binksternet (talk) 02:25, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Mayhem promotional concerts, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. livelikemusic (TALK!) 13:57, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- Where was this "disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting"? Please point out where it was to me. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 15:06, 22 May 2025 (UTC)

- In this edit, you removed the ending comma from the full date and also did not add one to the content you added to the article, which is in violation of MOS:DATEFORMAT—which means you violated Wikipedia's Manual of Style. livelikemusic (TALK!) 16:03, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing out this error to me, I forgot to add a comma, I’ll take note next time.
 - However, do you really consider this “disruptive” or “blocked from editing” worthy? Is there a Wikipedia administrator that would consider that such an error necessitates blocking the user from editing? TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 16:50, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- Additionally, I would like to point out how overzealous you are in reverting users' edits. There's many instances of users complaining about YOUR reverts in your talk page's history. You need to understand how antagonistic and discouraging your behaviour is for editors. Please take note of WP:ROWN. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 17:03, 22 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:14, 15 June 2025 (UTC)

This edit oversimplifies the release history and presents false information.. The prose in Evermore#Distribution and singles addresses this nuance too. Ippantekina (talk) 16:48, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
- I don’t think it’s necessary to specifically list the release dates of every release format. WP:INDISCRIMINATE – it doesn’t provide encyclopaedic value to the article. It’s plenty sufficient to simply indicate ”The album received delayed releases on CD, cassette and vinyl LPs in 2020 and 2021.” Every format is just a variation of the same album, with the same packaging, except the two deluxe songs that were eventually released onto streaming. Even more so for evermore, since it doesn’t have alternative cover editions like folklore had. There is also no false information presented in my edit. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 18:03, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
- Actually... it does contain false information. The deluxe was not released for streaming on December 18, for one instance. Per WP:INDISCRIMINATE:
To provide encyclopedic value, data should be put in context with explanations referenced to independent sources.
The prose does just this, and the current release table, with separate dates for vinyl/CD/streaming/cassette, does not fall into any of the 4 bullet points listed there. Ippantekina (talk) 04:38, 21 July 2025 (UTC)- The December 18 date refers to the initial release date of the Deluxe edition… on CD. Hence why CD was listed first in that list of formats. Anyway, since you insist on being the main editor of the article, I have no choice but to let you decide how you want to edit it. I hope you can be less inflexible when collaborating with others in the future. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 05:31, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Initial release on CD and streaming of the deluxe ed at the same time? I don't "insist" on being the main editor, I'm simply laying out my reasons and asking you: is Dec 18 being the release date for both CD and streaming of the deluxe edition factually correct? Ippantekina (talk) 10:44, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- The December 18 date refers to the FIRST official release of the Deluxe edition. Which was when the CD released, and it included the two bonus tracks!!! It is the INITIAL release date of that specific edition of the album.
 - Then the list states that the Deluxe edition was also released on digital, streaming, cassette and vinyl. HOWEVER, NOWHERE does it imply that all formats were all released on the same day. It says INITIAL release date for a reason. TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 11:59, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
