Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, THE AGE OF DISCLOSURE. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page The Age of Disclosure, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Lynch44 17:26, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jay, unfortunately, you are using an incorrect description for the film and you are also weirdly misrepresenting the "response" to the film by weirdly choosing two quotes you pulled that are negative while you chose to delete the dozen great press quotes we provided. It comes across like you have negative intentions. If your intentions are good and honest, please use the official description and the legitimate press quotes we added. Thanks! This edit also suggests that you fundamentally misunderstand how Wikipedia works. First of all, Wikipedia has articles that are about notable topics (with specific criteria for films). There are no "official pages" about a topic; articles are paraphrased, neutrally worded summaries of information previously published in reliable and independent sources.
On Wikipedia, you must assume good faith of fellow editors. Do not accuse others of having harmful motives unless there is clear evidence to the contrary. The subject of an article has no right of ownership or control over the article; you can't insist that the content remain at a version that you prefer. Anyone can edit any article at any time, with the goal of achieving consensus. Disputes over content should be calmly and rationally discussed on the article's talk page. Editors with a conflict of interest should most definitely avoid making direct edits to the article, and instead use the edit request wizard to request edits that can be reviewed by independent editors. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:16, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is also a block for violation of WP:ISU. Your use of the personal pronoun we in this edit [1] suggests shared use. Chetsford (talk) 18:47, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
