Speedy deletion nomination of User:SBPublicEditor
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:SBPublicEditor, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]You have an obvious conflict of interest, please don't write about yourself, your friends or relatives and read the guidance below:
- When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
- Most of your text is completely unsourced, and three of the four bare-url references don't mention her or the company. The fourth confirms that she spoke to Santa Clarita Valley women, hardly a matter of national importance. Biographies of living people must be fully referenced.
- It's not at all clear how she meets the notability criteria linked above, even if the facts you state are correct.
- Publications written by the person should be listed as such, in a separate section if preferred, with no references for the items. They should not be used as references either, since by definition they are not independent third-party sources as required here.
- You are OK on that, but her books seem to have no publishers, year of publication or ISBNs. Are they self-published?
- You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
- Lots of promo She is recognized for her work in tactical training... lifelong commitment to education,... a distinguished professor... The organization has received recognition...
- Don't put ®, it's not our job to protect your registration marks, and don't link to sales sites like Amazon
- There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- like the link to GreatNonprofits.org.
- You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
- I didn't check.
- Other issues include a lack of wikilinks, eg American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and strange formatting, which makes me wonder if you have written this with an LMM, please don't do that. Headings should be in senteence case.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. If you are writing about yourself, or someone you know as a friend, colleague, client, employer or relative, you have a conflict of interest, and you must disclose the nature of that COI. The current version focuses on biographical facts, third-party coverage, and verified achievements with inline citations.
Kindly requesting your second review when you have a moment. Appreciate your time and dedication to upholding quality.
Thank you so very much. S SBPublicEditor (talk) 03:50, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

- You seem to have made some effort to address the issues, so I won't block you yet. If you try again, make sure that you read and understand all my comments above, including COI, and take your time. You can't hope to come back the next day and get it right.
