Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:URADMonitor
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:URADMonitor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 17:51, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

- Thank you User:Salvio giuliano. My intention was not to post more noise and promotions, but to contribute factual, sourced information about a project I worked on for the last 10 years that has been referenced in peer-reviewed academic journals and international environmental reports, like these here Google Scholar search for "uRADMonitor" . The uRADMonitor project is somewhat similar in scope and functions to this Safecast . My idea was to publish an article with a similar structure but it seems I failed so far, but willing to improve. If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 03:24, 23 July 2025 (UTC)

Ping to @Jauerback: regarding the need for published sources , most of what I included are academic references. For example, a Google Scholar search for "uRADMonitor" shows several peer-reviewed papers. They are not few, and should count toward notability, I believe. This one Safecast is somewhat similar in scope and content to what I tried to publish, is it a good practice example?
I respectfully request reconsideration of the block and a second chance to contribute properly. Thanks.Decline reason:

Request reason:Thank you for reviewing my request Yamla. I understand that writing about a topic I am closely associated with, even with good intentions, can compromise Wikipedia's neutrality policies. I acknowledge the concerns around my username and article tone, I'm happy to let others handle the uRADMonitor article instead. I would appreciate being unblocked to contribute neutrally on unrelated topics and learn from the community. Also as said, I am open to changing the username to anything compliant.
As presented to Yamla, my plan is to use the sandbox for any new article ideas or ask the community to address what I consider a useful addition to Wikipedia. As a new user it's obvious there are things I need to learn. I would be happy to have my account unblocked if possible. Thank you. Radhoo21221 (talk) 20:44, 23 July 2025 (UTC)Administrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).

Request for Help Improving Draft
[edit]Hi everyone, I'm new to editing Wikipedia and recently ran into some issues with a draft I submitted. I now think the tone may have been too promotional, and I want to make sure the article meets Wikipedia's standards for neutrality and notability.
The topic (Draft uRADMonitor) has been covered in peer-reviewed journals and used in university-led air quality research. I'm looking for help in rewriting the draft to be encyclopedic and fully based on reliable, independent sources.
If any experienced editors are willing to provide feedback or collaborate, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!
Renamed
[edit]- I have renamed your account. Another uninvolved admin will review your unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 16:28, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. I must say that I find it impressive how Wikipedia works, so many different people involved in so many aspects, working to keep everything together. Truly a colaborative construction. Radhoo21221 (talk) 16:48, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
