- Hi @KylieTastic, thank you for reviewing. I’m working on adding more reliable sources such as Native News Online and have already been featured in Publishers Weekly (BookLife) and The Robesonian. I’ll resubmit once I improve the citations. Any advice is appreciated! Momlumbee (talk) 12:02, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- The basic thing to keep in mind is that all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). KylieTastic (talk) 13:02, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]
Hello, Momlumbee. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 13:29, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
I see that you said you are her daughter; you should formally disclose this on your user page. 331dot (talk) 13:31, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- @331dot Thanks for the note, but I am Sondra Sampson. I'm writing my own draft as an author. No conflict of interest beyond that. I’ve already disclosed that I'm the subject. I’ll make sure to cite reliable sources before resubmitting. Appreciate the feedback. Momlumbee (talk) 13:58, 6 July 2025 (UTC)

Guidance regarding COI editing and autobiographies
[edit]Hello Sondra, I want to offer you some advise since you are an editor with a conflict of interest who is writing their own autobiography, I encourage you to read the guidelines for Conflict of Interest editing, which Wikipedia discourages. Link here: WP:COI. Equally important, please read the guideline on writing autobiographies, which is strongly discouraged. Link here: WP:Autobiography. Netherzone (talk) 23:43, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
