hello! i'm emmy. i mostly do janitor edits, but i am free to discuss my edits and such here.

[edit]

please note; if i revert your edit without providing a reason, it is because i believe it is either vandalism or an erroneous change (basically, a change that is accidentally made or contains no information). otherwise, a reason for revision will be provided.

Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to User talk:Drmies. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. --Yamla (talk) 21:08, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

my bad? i hit enter too early on accident. Miraclefynx (talk) 21:09, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A meaningful number of your contributions are reverted by yourself or by other people. Please ensure this ceases. You may want to use the preview functionality, or practice editing in your sandbox. --Yamla (talk) 21:11, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't mean to be contradictory here, but when I revert my edits, its because I already *made* the edit, *then* noticed an issue. This might not be something that happens to you or others, but I sometimes do not catch my own errors, even after reviewing thoroughly as I try my best to do. Other people may get it perfect 100%, good for them! I personally see very, very little harm in quickly reversing an edit after I realize I've made a mistake.
I'm not trying to be rude here, but I find your insinuation that these corrections are due to a lack of care or precaution on my part quite insulting. I do put care into my edits, and I do try to avoid mistakes, but they happen. They mark a lack of experience, that is obvious, but not a lack of mindfulness in contribution. If it is better for me to never submit an edit because it might result in an inaccuracy that, realistically speaking, will be fixed before anyone views it, then I guess I shouldn't be editing at all. If you would agree with that, I will happily step away from editing, because it would clearly be something I am not fit for.
As for the case of the edit I made on Drmies userpage. As I mentioned, I was typing an edit, and accidentally submitted it before I had finalized it. Once again. My bad. It was gone before I could locate it to edit it, and I would have fixed it if I had been able.
