Request reason:

I was trying to remove incorrect information. I repeat, Jelena Karleusa is not Slovenian nor does she have Slovenian citizenship. Her mother is of Slavic origin. Another thing, Jelena's musical direction is not turbo-folk, as Wikipedia claims. Third, what does a partner have to do with the biography of a music star? Also, my request was to protect the page from editing due to the politicization of her musical character.

Decline reason:

You wrote "Jelena Karleuša has always been known as someone unafraid to voice her opinions, even when it means facing criticism. Her willingness to speak publicly about social and political issues demonstrates courage and a sense of responsibility that comes with having a significant platform. Although her views are often controversial, that does not mean they are not well-considered." This seems to be unsourced promotion. You can still edit the talk page to propose changes. I am declining your unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 20:19, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Ljuuban! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Jelena Karleuša several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Jelena Karleuša, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 13:08, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Bonadea,
Thank you for your message. I understand the importance of adhering to the edit warring policy and engaging in discussions to reach consensus. However, I want to emphasize that my intention is not to engage in an edit war but to prevent the vandalism of Jelena Karleuša’s page.
I have noticed that mobile versions are being used to introduce inaccurate information and deliberately insert political context, even though Jelena Karleuša is primarily a music artist. Wikipedia should serve as a platform for education and truth, not for the imposition of personal views or political agendas.
I am more than willing to engage in further discussions on the Talk page to resolve this issue constructively.
Thank you for your understanding.

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you purposefully and blatantly harass other editors, as you did at User:Bbb23. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:13, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For starters, teach your fellow “editors” how to address people who volunteer to edit Wikipedia. Your colleague @Bbb23 wrote; “I’m closing the discussion before the OP shoots himself in the foot” — at the end of an essay on the topic of Vandalism of Jelena Karleusa’s page! Is that a prediction, a threat, or something more? Hmm Ljuuban (talk) 22:21, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh. I assume you're not a native English-language speaker. That's why that phrase seemed to be a threat. Here's the full definition: wikt:shoot oneself in the foot. It means to cause yourself harm through careless actions. In this case, Bbb23 was concerned that you were about to say things there that could violate Wikipedia policies and cause you to be blocked further.
It was not a threat. It was an attempt to protect you. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:28, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Rsjaffe, I only wanted to contribute to the preparation and editing of parts of various articles by Serbian public figures in English. Because, who better understands the public scene in Serbia than us who come from it. For foreigners, it is important to update information with new data and events. Ok, maybe I misunderstood the message left by @Bbb23, but publicly belittling users is also inappropriate. Now I am leaving this vortex and will wait for a “better time” to become more active in contributing to the community with you — If you accept me (lol) Ljuuban (talk) 22:37, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
