Could be just a coincidence but I received an email 2 minutes after the block was placed offering for cost services to unblock the page.... I didn't even see the block message before the email was in my inbox. Please for being a not for profit or financial generating operation remove the ability for any random person to place a block and hold a page hostage until you "hire" them to removed it. (Non-administrator comment) Hi @Lightroomstudiollc! That email you recieved is a well-known kind of scam. Admins reviewing your unblock request will always be volunteers and are not paid for this in any way, and you should never pay someone claiming they will unblock your account or unlock a page.

The following request was written through the unblock wizard. Can you explain, in your own words, why your edits were promotional?
They are not, I am not really sure how they would be considered promotional
What is your relationship with the subjects you have been editing about?
I am a member of the Lightroom Studio staff but I was not asked to create the pages. I choose to create them because our company founders are famous authors, theorist, and practicing Architects in the architectural industry and they do not have wiki pages yet. So, I made them for them.
If you are unblocked, what topic areas will you edit in?
I cannot thing of really any other then updating my created pages as things change, I really don't feel it is right to edit anything on here unless I can prove beyond a doubt that the information provided is wrong.
Is there anything else that may be helpful to your unblock request?
I believe I have said it all. I can understand the need to monitor posts but, the over zealousness of some of these moderators (that then monetize the abilities to deny or block something) is a bit much.

Well since the idea of admins is a loose horde of anyone that can deny and block anything for any and no reason because they feel the mood of doing so. I am looking into recalling the pages I have tried to make and removing this account. Clearly wiki is not as a open source of information as it claims to be. Respectfully, your situation isn't about an individual admin's mood, but about promotional editing. Wikipedia is very careful about conflict-of-interest editing, especially from company representatives. The username combined with the edits gave the impression that you were a representative hired to promote your company's COO, which is so common we have an advice page for people in that situation.
While accounts can't be deleted (for legal reasons of edits having to be attributed), your drafts will expire and be deleted after six months without edits. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 23:04, 26 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you change your mind, please re-request unblock. Because you are employed by Lightroom Studio, you count as a paid editor, so please read WP:COI, in particular WP:PAID and WP:COIEDIT. In your unblock request, please confirm that you have read and understood these, and provide a new username.
