Image use

[edit]

Hello, I noticed your edits to the articles River and Cattle. On Wikipedia, images are not just for decorating articles, they should relate to the specific content of the section they are added in beyond just illustrating the subject. I can see you are passionate about Ghana, which is great, but this energy is better spent working on Ghanaian articles rather than trying to add images of Ghanaian things to unrelated articles. Thanks and happy editing, ForksForks (talk) 20:03, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the education. I will do better Knowledge and philosophy (talk) 20:24, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. If I might add one thing: the only purpose of images on Wikipedia is to inform the reader of something. Therefore, adding yet-another-image-of-the-Animal/Plant/Flower/Feature is unhelpful and counter-productive. What the reader wants is the shortest possible article that conveys the maximum information. Images *can* be worth a thousand words; or they can just be useless clutter. Take care which type you add! Hello, I've seen you have reverted an image added to an article and I want to know why, Africa Development Bank and Economic Reparations Prempy (talk) 13:00, 12 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Prempy, thank you for reaching out. The image completely distorted the article that was the reason why I removed it. I will appreciate if you could add it with the right template so that it maintains its structure. Thank you for your kind approach Knowledge and philosophy (talk) 11:45, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I just re added the image but it might not be the right template. kindly check it for me. Thank you Knowledge and philosophy (talk) 11:50, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
i wonder how you don't know if it's the right template you added, so I'll like to ask how u knew how mine was the wrong one or was it a feeling you had.😂😂😂 Prempy (talk) 12:45, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So I'd like to ask you some questions, are u in Ghana and are u in a wiki hub or something Prempy (talk) 12:46, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I train people about editing Wikipedia and other sister projects. I only used that approach so that you may learn respectively. Here is a space where we have continues learning so corrections should be done respectively without using offensive words or tone like you did. If you want to know me kingly check my user page.

Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 13:25, 27 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have checked that. Thank you very much for your feedback. I will work better on it. Knowledge and philosophy (talk) 13:52, 27 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
However, my community recently had our Wiki Loves Earth photo walk at the national park and will be adding relevant images to the article. Thank you Knowledge and philosophy (talk) 13:56, 27 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
