DYK for Dutch Maid Bakery

[edit]

On 30 August 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dutch Maid Bakery, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Dutch Maid Bakery in Tennessee has survived fire, war, the Great Depression, and the rebranding of its fruitcake? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dutch Maid Bakery. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Dutch Maid Bakery), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

[edit]
A colorized postcard showing the Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh, NC circa 1910

You are invited to an October event series focused on improving content about Dorothea Dix Hospital and creating a Wikipedia page for Dix Park. Join us for one or all three of the following: online kickoff October 5, in-person tour of the Hospital site at Dix Park on October 10, and an online editathon with a special guest from the State Library of North Carolina on October 19. Instructions on registering for the tour and joining us for the editathons on Zoom are included in the Meetup page.

You received this message because you are on the global message delivery list of the North Carolina Wikipedians, probably because you signed up on our user page or because you attended one of our events. If you would like to remove yourself, please remove your username from our global message delivery list or e-mail me for help.

Hope to see you at one of these events! -- Gaurav via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 15:41, 1 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mayors of Cary

[edit]

Hello! Is there any chance you remember where you got some information 21 years ago? I know this is a reach since it has been so long. However, I was wondering if you remembered where you got the list of mayors of Cary, North Carolina you added in this edit. That list remained on the Cary page until 2022 when it was removed. However, it was moved to List of mayors of Cary, North Carolina in 2024, a page which I am now attempting to improve. Using other sources, I have verified all the mayors as correct back to 1929, and several mayors earlier. I am struggling to find sources for others such as A. N. Jackson. I wonder if you found a single source that contained the list you added, I have not been able to find that list online now. --Pithon314 (talk) 10:35, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
