You may want to add to the wikiproject list of projects that might be interested in this topic, it's clear that the idea has branched out in application, and while I know Shannon's work, or some of it, generally, I don't know anything about this particular topic or when it's gone the last 70s years. If there's something I can do to help with that, drop a note on my talk page. The only tweak I did to the text reflects "punctuation goes before references", not a big deal at all.
