Your submission at Articles for creation: Everard Entertainment (April 20)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Gene93k was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
Make sure you add references that meet all four of these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
While this draft is nominally about a company, it is really a CV of that company's principal. While Mr. Everard may be a notable person per WP:FILMMAKER, the citations provided show coverage that is too routine in nature.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Ben Everard (April 22)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Gene93k were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Although the article has been repurposed into a biography, it uses the same churnalism sources as before. Moreover, the latest changes restore the bombardment of duplicate references previously cleaned up. There is a claim of notability as executive producer of multiple wiki-notable films, but the current promotional references are unacceptable.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The sources provided don't establish notability. Secondary sources are mostly trivial mentions and more in depth sources are not secondary. I also still have concerns about COI from the editor as well.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

COI

[edit]

Hello, before I review your draft, could you please address the COI notice placed above? GoldRomean (talk) 23:14, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Jared Press, and I currently work with Ben Everard at Everard Entertainment. I created this draft to provide factual, neutral, and well-sourced information about Ben Everard. I'm aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines and have crafted this draft in alignment with Wikipedia’s COI and neutrality policies. Thank you! Jared Press (talk) 23:40, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I find it hard to believe that you're "well aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines": You have not actually "crafted this draft in alignment with Wikipedia’s COI and neutrality policies". Could you please follow the instructions at WP:COI and make the required paid editing disclosures? Thanks, GoldRomean (talk) 23:41, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi GoldRomean, thank you for your note. I’d like to clarify that while I currently work for Ben Everard at Everard Entertainment, I was not paid to write this draft. I created it with the aim of providing accurate, neutral, and well-sourced information. Please let me know if there’s anything further I should do to stay in compliance. Jared Press (talk) 23:50, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you are using AI to respond, please cease doing that; I'd much rather hear from you. So you're saying that Ben Everard did not ask you to and has no idea you are creating this draft? GoldRomean (talk) 23:52, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I was asked to create this draft by Ben Everard, and he is fully aware that I have done so. Jared Press (talk) 23:58, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Please disclose using the links you've been provided. GoldRomean (talk) 00:03, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I just disclosed using the links I had been provided. Thank you. Jared Press (talk) 00:18, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Uh, if Ben Everard is your boss, and he is paying you, and he asked you to create this draft, isn't he, er, paying you to create it? GoldRomean (talk) 00:20, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I work at Ben Everard's company but was not paid separately to create this draft. I very much appreciate our dialogue and am open to editor suggestions. Jared Press (talk) 00:25, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I'll drop the paid thing. Please disclose COI on your userpage, not talk page, as instructed. GoldRomean (talk) 00:27, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Per your instructions, I just disclosed COI on my userpage. Jared Press (talk) 16:46, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Can you provide 3 sources (and only 3) that show Everard meets WP:42? GoldRomean (talk) 18:27, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely. Please see three sources below:

I greatly appreciate your editor input; happy to share a recent Bloomberg article that quoted Ben Everard - if that's something you would like to see, as well. Jared Press (talk) 00:01, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For notability, sources have to meet WP:42. So reliable, not by him, and covers him significantly. :) GoldRomean (talk) 00:05, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Need in-depth coverage about Everard, not interviews/his comments. Most of the other sources are just a mention. S0091 (talk) 15:30, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ben Everard moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Ben Everard 2. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement, you may have a possible Conflict of Interest and this is a PAID article.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Bobby Cohn 🍁 (talk) 13:03, 5 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you work for him and he asked you to create it, then you are WP:PAID. Saying that your weren't paid specifically for this article has no bearing when you say that you work for him. Further, you may have submitted it through AFC but following it's declination (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Ben_Everard&oldid=1301952376), you created it in mainspace (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ben_Everard&oldid=1309631359). Your submission at Articles for creation: Ben Everard 2 (September 5)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Bobby Cohn was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
