Earlier this month I had noticed they were not listed and was preparing to open up a "COI edit request" on the Talk page (as I have COI). It is always nice to hear when a contribution is appreciated. Thanks! However, since you have a COI on IHOF, I believe I'm the one that should be thanking you. I am very happy to learn about the lives and work of the people in that article. That is something I believe I would have been a lot less likely to do had it not been for the work of the Internet Society. If my edit helps just one more person learn about the beautiful minds of people like Aaron Swartz, and the many others that have let their moral principles and visions dictate their actions, it will have been well worth my time. Unknown parameters removal

First, I wanted to thank you for helping out on this monumental task maintaining {{Infobox person}}. I've noticed the list starting off in a different place than I had left it every once in a while, so I was glad to be able to spot your work at Mary Alcorn. I would be more than happy to share my extensive regex collection that I've been using in AWB to get this task pretty well automated if you have any access to semi-automatic editing tools. However, I only know regex from coding, and wouldn't know what to do with them on Wikipedia. I don't know what AWB is, and the only thing I've done other than fully manual editing is a bookmarklet I wrote a long time ago. I haven't used it in forever though. Thank you. Hamburg and Berlin

Hi, I saw you removed the infobox parameter "City" from some of the quarters of Berlin and Hamburg, like Altengamme. Removing them gives an error, therefore I reverted your edits. I guess you wanted to prevent the city (which is also a state) from showing twice in the infobox? If that's the case, we could think of another way to do that. Hello. My only reason for removing that parameter was because having it produced an error, putting the article in the category "Pages using infobox settlement with bad settlement type". What error does removing the parameter cause? I don't see any. Do you know of a setting I can change so that I will see the error during preview? Hi, if you remove the "City" parameter, the article is added to the Category:Germany articles requiring maintenance, and the settlement type changes from "Quarter of Hamburg" to plain "Quarter". I don't know why articles like Altengamme are added to Category:Pages using infobox settlement with bad settlement type, similar cases like Äußere Neustadt and Rieder are not added to that category. Apparently the error is created by the Module:Settlement short description, but I don't know how that works. Markussep ^Talk 19:53, 25 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
