Hi, just a courtesy message to notify you in case you haven't seen the Wikipedia:The World Destubathon contest update in the last few days that we've decided to run the full month until the 16th of July. For those who have been too busy to contribute, we would love some help in reaching 4000 articles by Wednesday night! Marmalade FAC

[edit]

My apologies for being so harsh in the review. Looking on the bright side, it's actually better to get it over with quickly than to have a review drag on for months. My recommendation would be to put this on a shelf for a couple of months, at which point you will be eligible for a WP:TWL account which will give you access to a vast array of additional research tools that will help you improve the article. Once you've done that, bring it to WP:Peer review for another look, and in particular make sure to link it into {{FAC peer review sidebar}} so it'll get special attention from people who are used to doing FAC reviews and will be able to give you better feedback. Avoid Research Gate

[edit]

Research Gate citations fail and flag red (bad ref) on a WP:RS-detector I use. Better to search the title for a) PubMed from which you can derive a PMID or PMC value to use in the citation (PMC is a full article function), or b) the URL of the original publisher, such as this source for the Liu ref in the marmalade article. ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:51, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I looked at a recent change in Shopping centers and found at least one error there. J.W. Marriott as the title of the referenced article does not have the form J.W._Marriott. No Wikipedia articles have that form as a title. The form causes a error. The problem may be in the script you used, but all changes should be checked for correctness.

I can not make the correction myself since that would accept your entire edit (I am a pending changes reviewer). Please check the full edit for correctness.

Pasco eSchool on Reward Board

[edit]

Hi! I saw your request on the Reward Board and was wondering if I could move ahead with editing it--- if you have any preferences, please let me know. Magnesium Cube (talk) 21:37, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, @Magnesium Cube! You can start editing. I was thinking that you could improve the page ("by adding information, changing wording, prose quality fixes etc.") to surpass me in overall edit amount (or at least even it out a little). You can see that on the xtools.wmcloud.org page (I have 91.5% edits). Actually, the xtool is good for any article (if you haven't heard of it yet). About editing preferences, I'm thinking expanding the article would be good. Thank you! Floating Orb Talk! my edits 21:43, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Floating Orb Hi! I tried to do all the research I could and added an Academic performance and a Controversies section, though I couldn't find a load of information online. If you want me to do anything else for Pasco eSchool, please tell me. You've already done so much that it was hard to improve it! For now, I think this is all I can do. Thank you for the working experience! Magnesium Cube (talk) 00:40, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for taking time to improve the page! The controversy section seems to have to do more with the district than the school itself. There is one controversy that I added in this edit that was removed some time ago. Maybe it could be added back. Floating Orb Talk! my edits 00:51, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I will try. Magnesium Cube (talk) 00:53, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Floating Orb I used the enrollment source by Tampa Bay Times, and added some other controversies. However, I didn't find the two first criticisms notable enough, so I didn't add them. Magnesium Cube (talk) 01:28, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Continuing Harv/Sfn cite error edits

[edit]

I admire your editing zeal but you have recently created multiple problematic "(Year) in France" articles. They all had or have Harv/Sfn cite errors. You are adding Sfn cites without the necessary complete citations - such as cite book, cite web, etc. - for the Sfn cites to link to. One way to correct these types of errors is to substitute a complete citation for the errant Sfn cite, as I did for the article you created 1249 in France. Another way is to create a References section and list the complete citation there. As the Template:Sfn page states:

"The shortened footnote template {{sfn}} creates a short author–date citation in a footnote, with a one-directional link to the first matching citation template on the same page. It will combine identical footnotes automatically.
The {{sfn}} is designed to be used to create shortened footnotes, a citation style which pairs a short, author-date citation in a footnote with a complete citation in the references section at the end of the article ..."

Please refer to Template:Sfn and for the possible issues, refer to its subsection Template:Sfn#Possible issues for helps and instructions. The 2 most recent problem articles are 1271 in France and 1270 in France. Once you clear the errors your two articles will no longer be in Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. - Shearonink (talk) 16:14, 6 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Shearonink! I fixed it. The issue happened because I copied the references from the articles (like 1271 in France has the citation from the Philip III of France article) because they are reliable citations (also my articles are based off of the main topics anyway). I fixed it by copying the actual reference and not the sfn version. Thank you for letting me know about this! Floating Orb Talk! my edits 01:12, 7 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi Floating Orb. After reviewing your request, I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2026-01-31. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, and feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate use of rollback. If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin) and Wikipedia:Rollback. Good luck and thanks! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:50, 7 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:501(c)(5) nonprofit organizations indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 22:57, 8 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz, I contested it for now. I created the category because the new FBI Agents Association article was in it though the category didn't exist at the time. For some reason, the page has moved to the category 501(c)(6) nonprofit organizations so now my category is left blank. I don't know if the category I created should be deleted or we should find something to put in it. I imagine by this point Wikipedia covers another 501(c)(5) nonprofit organization somewhere. Floating Orb Talk! my edits 23:22, 8 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what should be done, I can just say that except for a small group of categories (category redirects, WikiProject categories, etc.), empty categories are deleted after 7 days of emptiness whether or not they are tagged. On the plus side, a category that is deleted simply for being empty can be recreated whenever it is needed unlike categories deleted through CFD. If you have any more questions about categories, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:38, 9 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

[edit]

Just wanted to say thanks for the review and also wanted to mention a few things that might make your life easier in future reviews. User:SD0001/GAN-helper makes closing GANs super easy. User:Anne drew/Veracity makes a table for spot-checking sources. Also, when using one of the GAN review tables/lists, unless it says otherwise on the template page always use subst: at the start so that it will pop in all of the elements for you to fill out. And finally, when using the lists/tables they typically have a spot that says {{GAList/check| }}. In that spot you can use any of these inputs to make the symbols.

  • y, yes, pass, good, ok, k, +, aye all produce a pass symbol:
  • n, no, fail, bad, nk, -, nay all produce a fail symbol:
  • ?, ??, ???, dunno, question, huh, idk all produce a question symbol:
  • wtf produces Wikipedia's "I am out of my comfort zone" symbol:
  • hold and on hold produce the on hold symbol:
  • neu, neutral and und produce the neutral symbol:
  • blank or no input produces the unassessed symbol

I really appreciate your time, I hope you have a happy holiday! Snuggle 📫 🖤 05:07, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
