Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, DesiMoore, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Los 40 did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  OnlyNano 20:20, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DI2000. I spent the last two weeks or so translating the article from Spanish Wikipedia. Prior to that, I worked on making it sound less advertorial. I removed the tag once I was done translating. At which point should the tag be removed? Does it have to be reviewed first? DesiMoore (talk) 15:19, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1990 Peruvian general election, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Henry Pease. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:55, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Walter Roban.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Walter Roban.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 13:33, 20 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @PigeonChickenFish. I was merely translating the article from Spanish Wikipedia. Some of the citations were missing and others had broken links. DesiMoore (talk) 15:23, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
DesiMoore thank you for working on translation, it is appreciated. However we do still need to support the statements with sources, even if its from translation. Other language Wikipedia's may have different rules. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 18:10, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, @PigeonChickenFish. I will be guided accordingly. DesiMoore (talk) 15:06, 2 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
