undesirable wikilink
[edit]In your recent edit of Bebionic, you added a wikilink for Germany.
There are a couple of issues with this addition:
- You've got two consecutive wikilinks. There is guidance against this.
- Per WP:Manual of Style/Linking#Overlinking, countries should not be wikilinked (though I think this is subject to some discretion. OTOH, if you're wikilinking the city, then it's kind of unnecessary to wikilink the country.
FWIW, I know there's a section on the "overlink crisis", but I don't think this is a real thing. There seems to be much more encouragement to wikilink whenever possible, subject to wikilinking a given term only once per article. (Note that when wikilinking items in citations, such as the author's name, wikilinking each occurrence is the expected practice.) Fabrickator (talk) 23:35, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Whoops, sorry about that. should I get rid of it? Data Devourer (talk) 20:39, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Yes... also, I'd suggest rewriting "Kingston of Hull man, Mike Swainger, was ...", changing "man" to "resident" and omitting the offsetting commas surrounding "Mike Swainger". In its current form, it's kind of awkward. Fabrickator (talk) 17:57, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Remsense. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks. Redlinks are useful and can often be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.
In addition, clicking on the "What links here" link (in the tools listed at the left in desktop view) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Please only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! - Hi there, so sorry, I will stop doing that now. Thanks for telling me. Data Devourer (talk) 22:22, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Arcrev1, and welcome to Wikipedia. I appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Dawn Zulueta, it appears that you added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. - Arcrev1 (talk) 15:48, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- My bad, I'll remember that next time Data Devourer (talk) 03:14, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
