Reverting
[change source]Hi, Curtaintoad. You've been doing a great job reverting vandalism lately! I just noticed that one of your reverts (this one) accidentally removed a {{Use British English}} template. No worries, I have put it back, but please be careful! Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 07:55, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

:) Nice work! Aaqib Hola! 20:38, 23 June 2013 (UTC) |
- Thanks, Aaqib. However, I might nominate myself for admin in a few years or so, once I have a few thousand changes and once I have been in a good mood here. I have only been here for around two months. ~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 22:08, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- OK! Take your time. --Aaqib Hola! 23:28, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
Good faith?
[change source]I must ask how you consider this edit to Pi good faith. In my opinion, it looked like obvious vandalism. I would just like to hear your reasoning, since you are more experienced than I on this wiki. TCN7JM 07:26, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- It looked like to me the IP did something wrong to the title of the section, but didn't mean to do that. The section on the page was broken. ~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 07:31, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- While I disagree with that, as I don't think any user acting in good faith would type two Fs and then save the page without immediately reverting because they did it on accident, I can see where you're coming from. Thanks. TCN7JM 07:33, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- That's not what we would call a "good faith" edit, CT. A good faith edit is one that the editor thought was a good change to the article. This one was either vandalism or a mistake. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:02, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

User Muling Buksan Ang Puso TV
[change source]I saw your warning to this user. What is this the name of? --Auntof6 (talk) 10:16, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Auntof6. At first I thought it was a TV company. But I just looked it up and I think it is a series. Is it still a violation though? --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 10:24, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, but I don't think it would be considered promotional like the name of a company would. By the way, you don't need to leave me talkback. Most people here don't usually do that. When I leave a specific message for an editor, I watch their talk page so I can see when they answer. That yellow banner we get when we have a new message can be annoying when you're in the middle of some intensive editing, and I check the pages I'm watching periodically. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:31, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Looks good. Thanks. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 10:34, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Question
[change source]I'm curious: is there a particular reason you've been asking different people about becoming admins here? When I became an admin, I didn't think we really needed more, but am I missing something? --Auntof6 (talk) 11:03, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
- I thought that people were allowed to ask other people to become admins here. But I should ask before making an RfA (if the answer is yes). If yes, then I should continue. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 06:47, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, you're certainly allowed! It just seemed like you had been asking quite a few people, and I just wondered about it. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:49, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- Ah. Thanks anyway. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 06:50, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Your edit to User talk:Osiris

I have undone your change to WP:Vandalism in progress
[change source]The only objection I see with that user is that the user name is the name of an orgranization. That may violate our policies, but it is not vandalism. WP:Vandalism in progress is for vandalism only. Please report other kinds of things at WP:AN. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:42, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

- Sorry, the rollback was my mistake. I was trying to click undo, but hit rollback instead. Curtaintoad's edits were not vandalism. As for the other user's edits, the only warning I saw from Curtaintoad was about the user name. There was nothing about other edits. --Auntof6 (talk) 09:56, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Your recent revert activity
[change source]Could you explain these reverts that you did:
The edits you reverted don't look like problem edits to me. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:48, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
- I reverted those changes because another one of the IP's contributions had vandalism on it as well as a warning from a rollbacker on the IP's talk page, so I thought that the contributions I reverted are possibly the same style. Also, when I looked through the difference between the two contributions on the on all of the three articles that I looked at from the IP, it was something related to categories and I noticed that the words of some categories were lowercase letters and thought it would affect the article and looked like vandalism.
BTW (please note), I used to contribute to WMF sites with Internet Explorer 9/10, now I am contributing with Google Chrome because there are problems with IE9/10; however GC is going much slower then what IE9/10 does, so I will probably be inactive for most of the time for now as well as issues with some of the buttons. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 06:53, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

- Note from Lydia about the future of the weekly summaries
- I've been compiling the weekly summaries for Wikidata for the past 1.5 years. It is time to give this into the hands of a few capable community members now that I have moved on to product management. Starting next week I will not be compiling the weekly summaries anymore. I am happy to help anyone who wants to take over get up to speed of course. Please contact me if you'd like to take this over.

Possible sock puppets and only warnings
[change source]I see your report at WP:VIP about User:Southern Wear 604, and I see that you left a final warning on that user's talk page. I don't see the issues were, and I don't see what deserved a final warning without any previous warnings. If it was because of your suspicions that that user is a sock puppet, please explain why you think it is a sock. The page DWTL-TV started out as a bit of a mess, but that looks like formatting issues, not vandalism, and it was cleaned up. As far as I know, only people with certain rights have the tools to determine whether a user is a sock puppet. Even garden-variety admins don't have those tools. Please explain, because I am not willing to take any action without understanding the issues here. --Auntof6 (talk) 09:11, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Other sock puppets of Christian2941 edited the page List of television stations in the Philippines (see history), and the edits were reverted and removed too. These edits were reverted because the other edits of sock puppet Christian2941 were reverted and removed, plus these socks have similar usernames and have been editing some of the same pages to before. There was another sock puppet which created their account a couple of weeks ago, Sanyo2038, which was blocked, and edits reverted from me. You may have not been here at the time or saw what happened. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 09:31, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

[change source]Please upload al Logo for me, can you? Please, I'm sure you can.
The article is WikiMANNia and the logo is here: http://wikimannia.org/skins/common/images/wiki.png
Thank you! --77.0.184.118 (talk) 09:35, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Not done: sorry. I searched it up on Wikimedia Commons just then but no notable results were found. Also, I'm not sure how to paste the above link (image) onto the page. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 09:42, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- This file (http://wikimannia.org/skins/common/images/wiki.png) is to be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons! "To be uploaded", not "to be searched!
- "wikimannia.org/skins/common" is NOT "Wikimedia Commons". "wikimannia" n.e. "wikimedia". --77.0.184.118 (talk) 21:22, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

QD reasons
[change source]Hi Curtaintoad. When you tag something for quick deletion, please make sure that you use a criterion from WP:QD. If the reason you use is not on there, then it probably can't be deleted under that reason. If it helps, try sticking to the list used by Twinkle. Osiris (talk) 10:40, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Your qd requests
[change source]On several of your qd requests, you have put the word "unclean" in the comments. What do you mean by that? --Auntof6 (talk) 09:41, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- When I see sentences that do not leave spaces after their comments, commas, full stops, etc. I may also add the word when I nominate an article for fast deletion if there are broken templates, links, and such. I have done this on other WMF projects too. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 09:46, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- That does not make an article "unclean". Unclean articles are not eligible for quick deletion, anyway. Please see the deletion policy. Chenzw Talk 09:51, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
