Speedy deletion of A boy of good breeding

[edit]

A tag has been placed on A boy of good breeding requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contribution. :) I have moved A boy of good breeding to A Boy of Good Breeding, which is consistent with our manual of style on capitalizing book articles. Since the article was very brief, I have also for now turned it into a redirect for the author, Miriam Toews. (A redirect is an article that automatically takes a reader to another page; these are not infrequently used to help readers looking for books or albums to find the authors or bands that have created them before a full article is written on the books or albums.) If you'd like to expand the book article, this should be no problem at all. All you have to do is follow the link to the retitled article. Wikipedia will helpfully put you on the Miriam Toews page instead, but just below the article title, you'll see the word "((Redirected from A Boy of Good Breeding)". Click on the title there, and it will take you back to the article page, which you may edit just as you edit any other article. Simply erase the redirect code inside the edit window, and you can put in your material. Since this is your first article, you may want to look at Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:How to write a great article. Please consider taking a tour through the Wikipedia:Tutorial so that you know how to properly format the article before creation. Don't worry, though, if you don't quite know how to do something. Other editors are available to help you out. You can ask questions at the help desk or head over to my talk page by clicking on the "talk" link after my name. Good luck, and happy editing. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:04, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
