What I did on that page was not a test, and I have no need to use the sandbox, I have a great understanding of html. I put that shortened link there in order to decrease the size of the web page, as it could be scrolled tens of centimeters to the right due to such a long link, please restore it to how it was. 124.184.255.154 (talk) 04:28, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Feel free to re-do the edit yourself, but just a note, we do not use standard HTML on Wikipedia. That is just a form message too. Allmightyduck (talk) 20:16, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Ddlogo1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ddlogo1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot02:25, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
I've tried to Request Page Protection with Twinkle, but I get an error that the request has been made. On edit I see, {{pp-semi|small=yes}}. I'm guessing the edit means that the page is protected, but yet anons can still vandalize the page. Any ideas? (This has been going on for a while, just check the history). --ANowlin: talk02:14, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism
What defines vandalism as it pertains to this organization? I had a few edits reverted by you. I am not saying that it wasn't just to revert the edits, it just seems interesting to me that you have such a quick response to what I post.70.251.193.131 (talk) 03:38, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
In my mind, vandalism is anything that would look like graffiti. I an on Huggle, which automatically pulls up fresh edits to be moderated. Plus I like it! Allmightyduck (talk) 03:40, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
[1] That is clear misuse of rollback. And an incorrect warning of vandalism was also applied. [2] Please be more careful in future as this behavior frustrates good editors. --86.45.87.9 (talk) 22:13, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
First off, I am sorry about that! As with many vandalism fighters, we try to be fast but speedy. I guess I was a little too much of the latter in this case. Thank you for notifying me, and also, I did not use rollback, I used undo with Huggle. Although Huggle requires rollback to operate. I think it uses undo. Hmm. Once again, sorry! I will try to be more careful in the future. Allmightyduck (talk) 22:16, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
I agree with that. I messed up my first edit, so it may have looked like I was vandalising with my multiple edits, but I was not. I'm just trying to include something that I consider important.Dominar_Rygel_XVI (talk) 22:30, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
I am sorry about that. The URL appeared to look like a link to an adult website, rather than a gaming website. Please help me out by letting me know in the edit comment in the future. Sorry for the confusion! Allmightyduck (talk) 22:32, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Whilst I appreciate your input into this subject, you must understand that our football club undergoes drastic changes season upon season. I have eradicated the squad lists as they are no longer relevant nor useful. Come next October, whole new squad lists will be added.
We love our wikipedia entry, and I am just trying to make it as complete an article as possible. I can see why this would come across as senseless vandalism, but I am actually trying to make information as accurate as possible. I am not at all experienced in editing wikipedia pages, so some of my work may be somewhat ham-fisted at first. Needless to say, of all the pages on wikipedia, this is the one I care about the most.
Hi Matt, and thanks for letting me know about this! I recommend you make your own Sandbox for the page at first, as the articles should not be works in progress in the main namespace. Make sure you don't have a conflict of interest while writing. Since you said you don;t know wikicode that well, I recommend you read this article on your first article. Enjoy wikipedia! Reviewer permission
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
Sorry, I hit the wrong button and between you correcting it and me correcting it I may have cause you grief. Anyway I am hitting preview instead of save. Sorry, I will be more careful in the future. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JhanJensen (talk • contribs) 22:09, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
No grief caused! Yep, edit conflicts happen. I recommend if you get an edit conflict, check the article before trying again. Also, sign your comments with four tildes "~". It saves Sinebot some work. Have a Nice day! AllmightyduckWhat did I do wrong?22:17, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Further to the reply you received by email, I just wanted to clarify a couple of points. I have nothing against automated tools per se, and you are doing great work reverting vandalism, it is just that I would have liked to have seen some sort of non automated interraction on Wikipedia outside of the realms of AWB etc. vandalism reversion. The suggestions I made are not hard and fast requirements to joining ACC, but were given as some examples of how you could help out, and show that you would make a great addition to the list of tool users. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on my talkpage. Regards --Александр Дмитрий (Alexandr Dmitri) (talk) 03:28, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Account set up help
Hi. I just created an account, as per your suggestion. Is there a way that I can have my past edits listed under my user name so that my IP doesn't show and so that I get credit for the contributions that I did before under this new name?
Don't use it so blindly. Please take a closer look at edits with it before you do them - it's not a tool to be used without user assistance, and the responsability is on the user, not the tool. RN14:48, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
You messed up the inline referencing a bit on Microsoft. Appreciate the typo fixing though - it isn't that big of a deal, just pay extra attention and don't assume the tool is flawless, they toned down full AWB bots for a reason, you know...
Anyway, thanks again for the typo fix and also pointing out some of the newer wikilinking features, and thanks for the response. (one example: One of the things was moving a reference for a paragraph before others, indicating it's a reference for the last sentence and not general reference for the paragraph) RN14:57, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Long overdue, but I apologize if I seemed terse and I'm completely wrong in my last statement (on the 9th). Only mistake you made was using such a short edit summary with the tool with so many changes. Here's a toast to you! Don't get down about it :).RN18:46, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
False positives...
I had recently received a notice from you concerning edits and/or editing that constitutes vandalism. I wish to point out that I have already contacted Wikipedia and let them know that I have never gone to the pages mentioned in the "messages" section that comes up when I click on Wikipedia, as they appear to be coming from my ISP gateway number. I am on satellite Internet service and would appreciate in future that you verify that the edits and accusations that you appear to be blaming me for, are indeed, coming from my specific computer useage. If not, I suggest you refrain from making unsubstantiated accusations.
First off, please calm down a bit. We're all friends here. It seems that your ISP uses a shared IP. Since this edit came from an account, this should no longer be a problem. There is no "blame" here. I recommend you read WP:IAD. If you received a block from editing because of this, it wasn't meant for you. I have no way to "...verify that the edits and accusations that you appear to be blaming me for...". That ability if possessed by very few, and it seems this should no longer be an issue, because you have created an account. Allmightyduck What did I do wrong?22:50, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
I can only echo the above. I'm an administrator and even I don;t have the ability verify who is behind the string of numbers. Now that you've created an account, provided you have a strong password, all edits you make while logged in will be attributed to you, so if somebody at the same IP address as you is making a nuisance of themselves, you won't be affected by the measures we take to control vandalism. UGG boot
Almighty - you suggest that my edit of the UGG boot page introduced factually incorrect matter. It did not - can you kindly let me know what you object to so we can discuss? this seems to be a very contentious page and I don't really get what the deal is - aussie's view these things as "ugg boots" but the rest of the world sees UGG as a brand. the article doesn't get this across - it only takes the aussie view. I assume you are aussie, and please don't take it so personally, but in the US, UK and elsewhere, people really see UGG as a brand. Probably because Deckers advertises so much, but it is what it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Erehwon37 (talk • contribs) 02:03, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
I don't really object, and I'm not Aussie :). This might be a good candidate for a Disambiguation page, as it can easily confuse. Feel free to re-do your edit, and leave an edit summary saying something about it. Allmightyduck What did I do wrong?02:09, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Are you certain of that typo correction you made on Quorum of Seventy Evangelists? I was facing with the same one and I thought it might be an odd way to spell a name. As I couldn't find the source I decided to leave it. Did you find the source? --Muhandes (talk) 06:19, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Now that you ask, no. I did not find the source, I figured most of the names were not something Middle Easteren, which I usually steer clear of. I've reverted the edit. Thanks for letting me know! AllmightyduckWhat did I do wrong?14:23, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Five Finger Death Punch are not Thrash. They're Groove in vain of Pantera. If you link the allmusic site, it'll say so. Heavy/Groove/Nu metal. That's it. Please stop changing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.16.7.154 (talk) 16:04, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
I think my inclusion of stating Dez Bryant doesnt like carrying pads is fairly well known. There is nothing in the statement that he doesnt like carry pads that contradicts statements made on ESPN, Yahoo Sports, CNNSI, etc.
I'm confused, and not accusing you of WP:SOCK. You replace the text of the page with "I'm going to delete this rubbish." You cannot delete that, plus it's not even your own userpage. I'm guessing you are trying to pose as a Sysop, but I hope I'm wrong. Allmightyduck What did I do wrong?03:39, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Nice trick, huh? Putting a link to an article talk page into an edit summary. Steal it. That is how you address dissent on moving categories. Synonyms sometimes carry more weight. They do not carry bias. If you want to support your position that synonyms do carry bias, do it there, in the blue heading link, above. 68.148.103.90 (talk) 21:51, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi. This is Alexandree. I am contesting the proposed deletion of my post. I have posted a page about Sassa Brown, who is a singer and a writer. I am a big fan of hers and think that she deserves the page. You could even message her and ask if it is okay. I'm positive she would say so. She has a music page set up with several songs right now. It is found at http://www.myspace.com/549291717
She is also the subject of other fan blogs, such as one I found on blogspot.com The actual link is http://sassafanblog.blogspot.com/
She has two books published, Reflections of My Soul and Search for an Identity.
She is very talented, and I think that she deserves her own page. Her fans should be able to find information on her so they can know more about her. All the information in my post is correct and can be found in the sources I've mentioned above. Her books are also selling online and will be hitting stores soon. For now you can check it out and see that I'm not lying. www.cafepress.com/sassysassa and www.cafepress.com/SassaFanPage
She has two albums, one called Wonder Woman and one just released on her music profile today called Overload. Please check all this out and see that I am not lying and keep this post about her. I really think she deserves her page and her fans deserve to see it and to be able to post other stuff they know about her. I've even gotten a review of my page in the discussion tab.
The very top of that page probably doesn't look quite the way the editor thinks it does, but it is at least readable. Further down, everything looks OK (in terms of being readable), except in one place where a cookie covers a barnstar. • Ling.Nut01:26, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

By the looks of it, this is a humorous Facebook fan page. Sources need to be reliable, especially if they are controversial, like this one. Vandalism Warnings
Not quite sure why an IP shouldn't be giving an established user level 4 warnings, when he's clearly vandalizing my talk page, and even taunting me about it. IPs have rights too! --70.242.164.14 (talk) 01:56, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Then where do you suggest I take this? Admittedly, I didn't give him "formal" warnings, and doing so probably would've led to more problems for me, but I thought I made it pretty obvious that I didn't appreciate my user page being blanked with my revision comments. I'm open to suggestions... lol. --70.242.164.14 (talk) 02:10, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
I would like you to explain to me the meaning of "unconstructive" please. And why are you reverting my edits to that article? I do a huge effort, invest my own time into this and you call me akin to a vandal. That's not very nice, you know... 173.178.64.99 (talk) 02:04, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Hello, I have completed a general cleanup of the adopter information page for the adopt-a-user project, located here. During my cleanup, I have removed several inactive and retired users. In order to provide interested adoptees with an easy location to find adopters, it is essential that the page be up-to-date with the latest information possible. Thus:
If you are no longer interested in being an adopter, please remove yourself from the list.
If you are still interested, please check the list to see if any information needs to be updated or added - especially your availability. Thank you.
You are receiving this message because you are listed as an adopter here.
Thanks for uploading File:RockyHorrorGleeShow.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
Hi, I see you have been trying to help out on WP:FFU. When users want to upload images of logos or covers these are used under fair use, and we do not care about any license, (unless it is soon to be public domain. So instead of looking and asking for a link to license information, you can upload it if it can be used in an article, and it looks genuine. This actually covers a lot of the requests. Also for logos and covers the upload form caters for the fair use, so we don't have to ask for that. We only need fair use rationale if it is an obscure reason. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 05:56, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
OK, although are you saying that if it would be Fair Use, that we have to write the FUR? What if they have an album cover and they didn't provide a FUR anyways? Still ask them to write it? But, if it's merely a logo, just sort of do the "standard" logo FUR? AllmightyduckWhat did I do wrong?16:57, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Good morning again, what I am trying to say is that what we are doing at WP:FFU is that we are helping the new people to do things. Usually they have no clue about fair use rationale (or of the the license either). This means that if the fair use criteria are obvious, eg for covers and logs then we can fill them in for the requester. This applies to album covers too. Eg for one album cover in an article about that album, that is fair. The exceptions I am talking about is for pictures where use is unclear, eg historic, or for dead person, or for promotional material, or where there are lots of fair use images in the article already, then we can ask why the requester thinks it is fair to use it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:09, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
It would be good for the image tagging bot to be a bit smarter, see what fur template is in use and make up an appropriate license to go on. Your work looks good. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:00, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
I don't know what template you're using to add your votes to RfA's, but it appears that it's not substing correctly (or maybe you forgot to subst it). Check out your recent vote at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Looie496. It looks fine on the page, but if you edit the page you'll see all kinds of parser function shrapnel.
