Question

[edit]

Hello,

Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope this doesn't come across as too suspicious, but... are you a new editor, or an alternate of an existing editor's account? Also, can I ask what the intent / use of this maintenance category for glossaries you've created is? It's just rather unusual for new editors to dive into maintenance categories, a rather obscure corner of Wikipedia... SnowFire (talk) 00:00, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@SnowFire: I am not new to Wikipedia, but I would like to keep this account separate from my main because I'm planning to associate it with my real-world identity, but would prefer to maintain anonymity on my main. I think this falls within WP:VALIDALT, but if it doesn't, I'll be happy to stop using this account altogether.
The main reason I wanted to categorise glossaries by format was that it would make it possible to automatically process glossaries into a machine-readable format, something I'm interested in for personal projects, specifically generating Anki decks. I also think it will be useful for identifying the many poorly formatted glossaries to fix them (in the process of identifying <dl> glossaries I've already done this for glossary of sake terms, for example.) ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
