[edit] Hi 2600:8801:A80B:D300:25EE:6621:3F60:25A2! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 18:35, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- My apologies. The article in question featured editors disagreeing with me on following Wikipedia's many consistency and context policies. I will refrain from making large amounts of undos/reverts (without talking about it first) from now on. 2600:8801:A80B:D300:25EE:6621:3F60:25A2 (talk) 19:02, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Frank Farian. I don't know what point you are trying to make, but it is not going to work. Drmies (talk) 23:06, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. Please read MOS:CONTEXTBIO and MOS:BIRTHPLACE. The above comment sounds like a direct threat and assumption, quite honestly. 'It is not going to work' Really? The "point I was trying to make" was that articles should have consistent and precise birthplaces that correspond with the country's temporal title, not some conflict of significance that itself violates WP:NOTCENSORED. If you block or attempt to have me blocked without an explicit reason I will have no hesitation to WP:NICETRY you. Thank you. 2600:8801:A80B:D300:25EE:6621:3F60:25A2 (talk) 00:42, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- And... you just blocked me. All because of a conflict-of-interest edit that doesn't violate MOS:BIO no matter how much people keep saying so in edit summaries. Tell you what... I'll give you one hour to explain your block before I submit a report of admin misuse per WP:ADFAQ#CONDUCT. No hard feelings, I just want to make sure there is a legitimate understanding for the grounds of my block. Thank you and hoping you are well. 2600:8801:A80B:D300:25EE:6621:3F60:25A2 (talk) 00:46, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- I'm just a passerby here but it does seem a little strange to call a standard, copy-and-paste user warning template "a direct threat", because it says "if you do x, y will happen", but then four minutes later to say "Tell you what... I'll give you one hour to explain your block before I submit a report of admin misuse". I'm not saying you can't legitimately do the latter. It's your prerogative. But it does undermine your "direct threat" comment a bit. AntiDionysius (talk) 00:55, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- This is a burner account used for controversial opinions. I see the point you are making. The original point was that this user was providing consistent reasoning and this administrator just said "it's not going to work" Impossible Project (talk) 01:19, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
