FV-77B "Super Monarch"
[edit]The FV-77B "Super Monarch" (Persian: فو-۷۷ب "سوپر منارچ"); is a single-seat, twin-engine stealth multirole fighter aircraft developed for the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force( Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi) As the result of the IRIAF's Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) program, it is intended to perform both air superiority and strike missions. It is also able to provide electronic warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities. The prime contractor, SAHA, built most of the FV-77B's airframe and weapons systems and conducted final assembly, while HESA provided the wings, aft fuselage, avionics integration, and training systems. The FV-77B is the first aircraft in Iranian military service designed with stealth technology.
A multirole fighter capable of aerial combat as well as ground and maritime strike, the FV-77B incorporates stealth, supermaneuverability, supercruise, integrated avionics, and substantial internal payload capacity. The aircraft is expected to succeed the F-16 and Su-35 in the Iranian airforce and experts compare it to the F-22 Raptor and F-35c. Iran plans to produce 1,500 FV-77B through 2030, which will represent the bulk of the crewed tactical airpower of the Iranian Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps for several decades.
The aircraft idea was descended from the Sukhoi Su-34, which was bought by the Iranian Government from the Russian federation on September 17th, 2027. Its development is principally funded by the Iranian Government, however Chile allowing Iran to gain 20% of profits and rights to their mines as well as the United States giving Iran 75 Billion dollars helped fund the project massively. The FV-77B is expected to enter service with the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force( IRIAF) by Late may or early June of 2028. Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi of the IRIAF expects the project to be a huge asset in the future and revolutionize Dog Fighting.
