Lyrics and composition

[edit]

"Skoal, Chevy, and Browning" is a country song that is reminiscent about a time that Wallen had been invited to join a hunting trip with one of his good friends, presumably a guiding figure in his life.[3] The lyrics "He was old school as huntin' in a flannel / Took me with him slap middle of the rut," were referring to a time that Wallen went on a hunting trip with a guiding figure in his life and was guided on how to hunt. Then, the following lyrics "I was tryin' to get me one for the mantle / He was tryin' to fill the Frigidaire up", suggest that Wallen was hunting and attempted to kill an animal, likely to consume later, and that the guiding figure was filling a refrigerator up with some type of beverage, likely beer.[4] "We met back at his C-10 custom / He was waitin' with a doe and a beer / I said I coulda killed a dozen of 'em / He said hell why ain't one here", further suggest that Wallen was hunting and he met the guiding figure back at his "C-10 custom" after wanting to kill "a dozen of them", likely deer.[5]
