This is the WikiProject banner template used by WikiProject Animation to keep track of articles within its scope. All articles are categorised into Category:WikiProject Animation articles.

Basic usage

Place this on the talk page of relevant articles:

Parameters

importance – see #Importance assessment below.
category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Notes and alerts

– this parameter is for the use of bots and indicates that the article has been automatically rated:
- length – based on the length of the article;
- inherit – because one or more other projects use this class;
- yes or stub (in conjunction with |class=stub) – as Stub-Class because it uses a stub template.
Use of the above values with this parameter populates [[:Category:]].
attention – set |attention=yes if the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention. This parameter populates Category:Animation articles needing attention.
infobox – set |infobox=yes if the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles. This parameter populates Category:Animation articles needing infoboxes.
image – to request that an image or photograph be added to the page.
needs-refs – set |needs-refs=yes or any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "This article lacks sufficient references and adequate inline citations." This will populate Category:Unreferenced animation articles.
cleanup – set |cleanup=yes or any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "This article has marked as requiring cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards." This will populate Category:Animation articles needing cleanup.
fiction – set |fiction=yes or any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "This article has been marked as describing a work or element of fiction in a primarily in-universe style and may require cleanup. Please provide that the fiction more clearly and provide non-fictional perspective." This will populate Category:Animation articles that need to differentiate between fact and fiction.
portal1-name – set |portal1-name=yes or any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "This article has been selected for use on the portal." This will populate Category:Animation articles used on portals.

American – set |American=yes if the article is supported by the American animation work group. This parameter populates Category:American animation work group articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:American animation articles by quality based on the |class= parameter.

Canadian – set |Canadian=yes if the article is supported by the Canadian animation work group. This parameter populates Category:Canadian animation work group articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Canadian animation articles by quality based on the |class= parameter.
Canadian-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to the Canadian animation work group. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Canadian animation articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
European – set |European=yes if the article is supported by the European animation work group. This parameter populates Category:European animation work group articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:European animation articles by quality based on the |class= parameter.
European-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to the European animation work group. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:European animation articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
Asian – set |Asian=yes if the article is supported by the Asian animation work group. This parameter populates Category:Asian animation work group articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Asian animation articles by quality based on the |class= parameter.
Asian-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to the Asian animation work group. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Asian animation articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
World – set |World=yes if the article is supported by the World animation work group. This parameter populates Category:World animation work group articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:World animation articles by quality based on the |class= parameter.
World-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to the World animation work group. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:World animation articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
film – set |film=yes if the article is supported by the Animated films work group. This parameter populates Category:Animated films work group articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Animated films articles by quality based on the |class= parameter.
film-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to the Animated films work group. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Animated films articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
