News

[edit]

So this is new. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/17/realestate/oren-alon-alexander-sexual-assault-allegations.html AltruisticHomoSapien (talk) 20:12, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rename article?

[edit]

I understand that Alon is not part of the Tal and Oren´s real estate firm, which was the origin of this article, but what makes the bigegst part of the article now is the 3 brothers´ arrest for rape and sex trafficking. Hence, I think the page title should either include Alon as Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander or be renamed Alexander brothers.

What do others think ?--Wuerzele (talk) 02:27, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the article should be renamed. My preference is to rename it "Tal, Oren, and Alon Alexander" rather than "Alexander brothers". Novellasyes (talk) 20:43, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't agree with the rename. Only Tal and Oren are notable, due to coverage of their real estate work, and notability is not inherited. The sexual allegations would fall under routine coverage and WP:NOTNEWS, in my opinion. Jdcooper (talk) 23:30, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Some people achieve enough notability to be on WP because of being criminals. Dozens of article in major publications have been written about Alon's alleged criminality so I'd say his notability could be chalked up to his notoriety as an (alleged) criminal. But since he hasn't been convicted, it might be your view (I'd go along with this) that until and unless he is in fact determined to be a criminal, it's not time to assess his potential notability around that.
