Hey @Newslinger: what about you . could you do the edit request? 14.139.114.222 (talk) 12:03, 11 April 2025 (UTC)- Hi there, I believe the proposed addition is too speculative to add to the article, as we do not yet know the results of the next Indian general election. One of Wikipedia's policies, "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball", states that unverifiable speculation is not appropriate in articles. This is the same reason the "retirement rumors of Modi" are not mentioned in the article in the first place. — Newslinger talk 16:06, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

In the section Prime Minister of India (2014–present), the starting line "Droupadi Murmu administering the oath" is a red link. It is out of place, and not required there. Please remove that. Thanks. 2405:201:4039:200B:D0C8:CB29:8C53:4086 (talk) 11:27, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

In context to security lapses under modi premiership
[edit]Like other governments, Modi government also faced security lapses since 2014 he became pm weather it was pulwama attack or the recent pahalgam attack by terrorists. I need assistance from editors that where should i write about these security lapses under his premiership in a separate section. Should i add this in Narendra Modi article or in Narendra Modi premiership article? Thanks TheSlumPanda (talk) 08:09, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- I think a sentence or two in this Narendra Modi article on security lapses, and a more detailed paragraph or so in the premiership article would make sense. EarthDude (talk) 15:49, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- If the sources support this, then that sort of length would make sense, but I'm not sure that they do. If you want to discuss "security lapses" during Modi's premiership, you need sources explicitly discussing that - not just news coverage of incidents of terrorism or militancy during Modi's premiership. Vanamonde93 (talk) 16:36, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Vanamonde93 I support your words that they should explicitly mention about modi premiership but at present the reality is that mostly the news media of india is baised and they rarely wrote against modi government. TheSlumPanda (talk) 17:07, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- There are various news sources such as The Wire (India) or The Caravan or international media such as Al Jazeera that could have articles discussing security lapses under Modi.
Some examples we could give are the uri, pulwama, pathankot, reasi, and the recent pahalgham attack. We could also include the 2022 security breach and the 2023 parliament breach.
While finding news sources, especially from the Indian mainstream media which is mostly pro-government isn't easy, it's not fully impossible either. After some searching, I have found some usable sources. I'm sure there are a lot of other sources we can use too.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] EarthDude (talk) 18:40, 25 April 2025 (UTC)- A paragraph on this issue can be added at Narendra Modi#Defence. Capitals00 (talk) 01:45, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Capitals00 ofcourse. Currently i am writing this whole issue on modi premiership page and btw thanks for guidance TheSlumPanda (talk) 05:29, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
