CS Malvinas: Relevance, Importance, & Bias

[edit]

I have just rewritten Counter-Strike: Source#Modifications's sole enttry, which is currently about Counter-Strike: Malvinas. When I found this section, it was biased in favor of Britain and incorrectly, repeatedly insisted that this was a standalone game, not simply a map for CS:S.

I question the relevance & importance of this section altogether, and do not think it should have its own article. While the controversy and hacking may warrant a brief mention, they are not the extent of CS:S's modifications.

I think a solid way forward for the article (regardless of if we keep the Malvinas mention) would be to turn the "Modifications" section into "Notable Modifications" and list/describe common CS:S gamemodes such as gungame, kz, surf, jailbreak, etc and a separate mention for the game's huge mapping scene. Malvinas could be mentioned here, along with the controversy, though I am again not sure if it should remain at all.

Any guidance appreciated.

Rework on the page

[edit]

So, it's been 10 months (currently it's July 27, 2025) since the last edit was made here and the game has changed slightly over time. I'd make changes, however, I'm also worried if I would document those changes unprofessionally. If there's wikipedian that is interested in Source Engine games and knows about recent updates, it would be nice if someone could do some rework.
