Your submission at Articles for creation: A Thief Among the Trees (April 30)
[edit]
- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:A Thief Among the Trees and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- This is a book in a series. Three of the other books in the series have Wikipedia articles. Please apply common sense. HelpfulEditorPerson (talk) 18:46, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- Notability is not inherited. This draft has no sources that show the book is notable thus I declined it. Any other reviewer would do the same. CoconutOctopus talk 19:23, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- That is really not helpful. I prefer that you recuse yourself from reviewing any more of my submissions and be annoying to someone else. If you examine the page for Sabaa Tahir, you will see plenty of justification that her work is notable. The problem here is that there are no entries for her 4th book in the An Ember in the Ashes or for the graphic novels in the series, although they are mentioned in her bibliography. The onus is not on me to prove that she is noteworthy when Wikipedia itself says that she is noteworthy. HelpfulEditorPerson (talk) 19:30, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- The onus is on you to prove that the book is notable if you are the one creating the draft. I feel like you have a serious misunderstanding of how Wikipedia works; may I suggest you read WP:GNG? CoconutOctopus talk 19:38, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- No, you have a serious misunderstanding of how Wikipedia works. People go to Wikipedia to find information. IF the information is not at Wikipedia, the onus is on Wikipedia to make the information available. Given that you are such a genius, why don't you find some sources that prove that this book by a New York Times Bestselling author is noteworthy. Ask yourself: Are you helping anyone? HelpfulEditorPerson (talk) 19:44, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- As it stands the draft has been declined; if you can find sources that meet WP:NBOOK then please add them and try re-submit it.
- Best, CoconutOctopus talk 19:48, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a mere information repository. There are criteria to meet. 331dot (talk) 20:02, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit] This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. S0091 (talk) 19:53, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to assume bad faith when dealing with other editors, you may be blocked from editing. Assume that they are here to improve rather than harm Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 20:53, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
Inappropriate comments
[edit]Civility is required to edit here. While you may find our policies and guidelines regarding notability and sourcing frustrating, you are required to abide by them. Your last response to CoconutOctopus above is not acceptable on a collaborative project. This is a private website and, unlike what you have suggested, Wikipedia is under no obligation whatsoever to publish any material that does not meet the basic requirements for inclusion. -- Ponyobons mots 19:56, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

A Sky Beyond the Storm
[edit]You may have missed my note at the helpdesk and my edit summary at A Thief Among the Trees but I think there might be enough qualifying sources for an article about A Sky Beyond the Storm. I can help but I will not work with someone that exhibits such hostility to the community, all of whom who have just tried to give you sound advice and tried to explain how Wikipedia works. If you are willing to listen rather than launch a WP:BATTLEGROUND and retract your nasty statements, we can start afresh. S0091 (talk) 20:14, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- You do not understand Wikipedia from the point of view of a person who uses Wikipedia. Hopefully there are other people at Wikipedia who are more helpful. I don't want to write Wikipedia articles. I want to read them. HelpfulEditorPerson (talk) 20:26, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- You are making baseless assumptions yet again. You know nothing about me, what I understand or don't or how/why I became an editor rather than only a reader (none of us were born a Wikipedia editor), nor am I going to explain it to you. So, yeah, I can see this is a waste of my time and frankly yours. S0091 (talk) 20:42, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- You're so right. Please never contact me again! HelpfulEditorPerson (talk) 20:46, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
