  • 08:4408:44, 15 February 2025 diff hist −1 Talk:Data degradation I would say this now qualifies as being C-class, with a substantial amount and improved flow of information and even adequate, mostly reliable sources, but with substantial room for improvement nonetheless. Data degradation is arguably a subject of particular concern for experts of computing specialized in the future of computers (it is an important subject for me anyway, but that's beside the point), so the article has been graded as Mid-importance. current

For an article about a problem as persistent as this, one would expect a section about mitigation efforts. I have added a section with some content to give others an idea of what it should look like. The article may contain redundant information now, but that can be fixed in the future. Lastly, I have gone through pains to make the references list-defined to reduce clutter. You are welcome. • 22:5322:53, 10 February 2025 diff hist +1,039 Machine code I improved the flow of the "Readability by humans" section. I also reduced clutter by making all the footnotes list-defined, and I linked two existing citations under "Further reading" to the books on the Internet Archive for quick reference, as well as clarified which editions those books are in. • 10:0910:09, 9 February 2025 diff hist +2,007 Newspaper of record I have added El Comercio of Ecuador. There are now 100 newspapers on the list! I also created a "Works cited" subsection to combine multiple but similar citations with different page numbers and quotes, an addition which I hope will get utilized more in future edits.

I will work on those later. I also divided the hardware into three categories. I have not returned to the Itanium, but I will get back to it in my next edit.
