Diese Seite beschreibt, wie man während der Bearbeitung einer Seite zwischen Wikitext 
(Quelltext) und der visuellen 
Bearbeitung mit dem VisualEditor wechseln kann, wenn diese für eine Seite freigeschaltet ist.[1]
Bearbeitungsmarkierung
Während der Erprobungsjahre des VisualEditors wird aufgezeichnet, ob du während deiner Bearbeitung den normalen VisualEditor-Modus verlassen hast. In der Versionsgeschichte wird eine Bearbeitungsmarkierung gesetzt, wenn während der Änderung an einer Seite zur Quelltextbearbeitung gewechselt wurde.
Es soll über die Jahre statistisch ausgewertet werden, wie oft sich Bearbeiter genötigt sahen, den VisualEditor zu verlassen, um direkt den Quelltext zu ändern, weil offenbar die Funktionalität nicht ausreichte.

- Erläuterung: »Bearbeitungen, die mithilfe des visuellen Editors begonnen, aber nach dem Wechsel mit dem Wikitext-Editor beendet wurden.«
VE-Werkzeugleiste bei der Quelltextbearbeitung
Weltweit wurde Ende 2016 eine Möglichkeit verfügbar gemacht, aus der klassischen Quelltextbearbeitung heraus Funktionen des VisualEditor zu nutzen. Dies geschah zunächst als Beta-Feature.
Um dies zu verwenden, musst du es als angemeldeter Benutzer in deinen persönlichen Benutzereinstellungen (Registerkarte Bearbeiten) aktivieren.
Es erfolgt ebenfalls eine Bearbeitungsmarkierung; im Detail:

- Erläuterung: »Bearbeitungen, die mit dem Wikitext-Editor 2017 ausgeführt wurden.«
Im „Desktop“-Modus, also nicht auf Mobilgeräten und nur in der konventionellen Domain de.wikipedia.org erscheint eine Werkzeugleiste, aus der heraus sich die VisualEditor-Funktionen nutzen lassen.

Wenn du zur visuellen Bearbeitung zurückkehren oder diese während der Bearbeitung nutzen möchtest, dann klicke im Bearbeitungsmenü des Wikitexteditors auf das Stiftsymbol, das sich rechts im Bedienfeld befindet.
Es erscheint ein Auswahlfeld, in dem du zum VisualEditor wechseln kannst. Der jeweils aktive Editor wird blau angezeigt.

He trusted her, cherished their time together, and imagined a future in which they could overcome life's difficulties as a team.
But gradually, things began to change.
The pressure surrounding their relationship became increasingly difficult for Promise to bear. The disapproval he experienced because of his financial circumstances made him feel as though his efforts and good intentions were not enough. He was trying to build something meaningful with the limited resources he had, yet he felt that his background was becoming a reason for others to look down on him.
What hurt him most was the feeling that the person he loved was being influenced by the very pressures that were threatening their relationship.
He watched Precious become increasingly caught between their relationship and her mother's expectations. According to Promise's experience, comments comparing him unfavourably with other men added to his frustration and made him question whether his efforts were truly appreciated.
