[edit]

Hi all. I just want to clear my intentions here, after noticing some conflicts between User:CNMall41 and User:اُردو. I came across this topic on wikipedia just few days back, so I thought I should make contributions as well - but on the draft, while knowing the mainspace page also existed.

Earlier in February, "اُردو" tried updating the draft and then submitted for review, which got rejected. Instead of making modifications here, they created new page, which again got tagged as unstable.

It is true I took some content from edits by "اُردو", did my own revision as well, and again submitted the draft with an intention if it gets approved, it should replace the mainspace page.

While I do believe in WP:RS and WP:PSTS, here in this case, I knew it do not meet much. YouTube references are generally discouraged, unless if "the uploader and the video meet the standards for a reliable source". With Geo News being a reliable source itself, it still just a primary source. Similarly, most interviews out there are very less covered by secondary sources, such as Bol News, Reviewit, etc. Many references still cover his guests rather than the host himself, such as Mathira, Feroze Khan, Maryam Nafees, etc.

Yes, the person is notable in Pakistan as the reliable sources claim, but still many of his bio is only present in video interviews rather than secondary text references.

Some of here is my mistake as well due to which it again got rejection, however, in my opinion, there was no WP:COI. Hope I clarified, thank you! M. Billoo 17:23, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@M.Billoo2000:, Hopefully you did not take my COI comment to be a direct accusation of you having a COI. If that were the case, I may as well accuse Ravensfire and RangersRus of having a COI as well (maybe even falsely claim I have a COI). The accusation is a direct reflection of the history of one of the blocked socks, coupled with the user you identified above and their conduct (talk page messages, playing victim, etc.). There is a farm that has an interest in publishing the page for a non-notable (based on guidelines, not popularity in Pakistan) subject.--CNMall41 (talk) 19:51, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
User:CNMall41 again just accusations and no proof, it's easy to accuse I can do that too. Your edits on wikipedia reflects that your interest is to under represent information related to some specific regions even if they qualify every guideline (refs, sources, notability etc) due to bigotry --اُردو (talk) 22:22, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like the same accusation always laid down by the StayCalmOnTess sock farm. --CNMall41 (talk) 01:09, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
accusation accusation no proof. since you're here why not point out unreliable sources and enlighten me, maybe that will wash away accusations on you. --اُردو (talk) 12:36, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@اُردو: Please see my first message here. Video references like YouTube, and primary references like Geo News, are generally considered unreliable. Wikipedia policies do not allow us a biography without broader coverage by reliable secondary sources. While it is true that Wikipedia has some weak biographies, doesn't mean we need to skip policies here as well.
I am open to discuss, thank you! M. Billoo 14:24, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank for your input you added some constructive discussion instead of just baseless accusations and calling everything unreliable. There are many other sources ARY News, VOA, The News International and many more. YouTube interview was just for his date of birth and other personal info that could be removed from the article just like all other statements that are considered unreliable. But the problem is not about article but behaviour the person above is doing things without any discussion or explanation and putting baseless accusations on me. He needs to learn that wikipedia is not his property and should be put accountable for his actions. Just because he (only himself) thinks a person in not notable should not be the criteria he could start a discussion but he used his power to do unjustified actions. --اُردو (talk) 16:19, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Fancruft

[edit]

This does not make someone notable. Also, one of these is about the criticism of a show, not him, which makes it WP:COAT. Also, see WP:NOCRIT. CNMall41 (talk) 17:50, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
