Laura Olivia Day[2] (born (2004-05-16)May 16, 2004), known professionally as Twikipedia (pronounced T-weeke-pedia; stylized as twikipedia), is a Brazilian rapper, singer-songwriter and producer from Niterói, Rio De Janeiro.[3]

Career

[edit]

Originally from Niterói, she[c] has played guitar. They initially presented a digicore sound and became popular by their pop rap songs.[4] However, by 2022, they felt constraint by the sound and began shifting towards more rock-oriented styles. Their debut studio album, still-life, was independently released in January 2024. After May 2024, their album, "For the Rest of Your Life",[5] went gained over 525,000 official streams in the U.S, "windchimes", is categorized by the guitar textures, especially the primary motif, which appears to be like a flag flowing in the wind.[6][7] Frank Ude of Doth Music said the album is a "punk and shoegaze" combined record that "balances peacefulness with an attention-challenging edge."[8] They had produced kuru's song “if u cant change i wont either” in December 2024, which ties everything together: a jumble of choppy breakbeats and agonizing lyrics.[9]
