Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. Submission declined on 7 May 2025 by Greenman (talk). This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject. Declined by Greenman 30 hours ago. | ![]() |
Comment: Sources are a mix of routine business reporting and close primary sources, none of which establishes notability per WP:NCORP. This is just the company telling the world about itself, which is another way of spelling 'promotion'. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:44, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

The TALKE Group (officially Alfred Talke GmbH & Co. KG) is a multinational logistics company that provides services for the chemical and petrochemical industries.[1] Founded and headquartered 1947 in Huerth, Germany, TALKE offers transportation, storage, handling, and engineering services, with a special focus on hazardous goods.[2] As of 2021, the group employed approximately 4,500 people and reported consolidated revenues of €326 million.[3]
History
[edit]TALKE was established in 1947 by Alfred Talke Sr. in Huerth as a regional transport company. In 1952, the firm developed its first in-house tank truck for the transport of acids and alkalis. Over time, the business shifted focus to the logistics of chemical goods.[4]
The 1970s saw the establishment of new operational sites in Stade, Ludwigshafen, Dusseldorf, and Cologne-Niehl, strategically positioned near industrial chemical hubs. In the late 1980s, TALKE began expanding into Belgium and the Netherlands. Following German reunification, the company acquired SpeziTrans in Grimmen and opened an additional location in Schwarzheide.[4]
In 2003, TALKE entered the Middle East market with operations in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.[4] Further expansion in the region included joint ventures in Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.[5] Since 2015, the company has operated in North America through its subsidiary TALKE USA Inc.[4]
Corporate Structure and Locations
[edit]TALKE is privately owned and operates globally through a combination of wholly owned subsidiaries and joint ventures.
In Europe, the company operates in Spain and Italy through the joint venture Global-TALKE S.L. (established in 2005 with Global Spedition). In Saudi Arabia, TALKE is active via S.A. TALKE Ltd. (founded in 2004 with SISCO and the Al-Jabr Group), headquartered in Jubail.[6] In Oman, the group operates through Aljabr-TALKE & Co. LLC, founded in 2006 in Sohar. In the United Arab Emirates, RSA-TALKE DWC-LLC (established in 2013 with RSA Global) manages hazardous goods warehouses in Dubai and the Jebel Ali Free Zone.[7][6][8] TALKE is also active in Qatar[9] and Bahrain[10].
Further operations with fully owned entities exist in Poland, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Malaysia (Port Klang)[11][12], and the United States (Mont Belvieu, Texas)[13]
In Germany, major sites are located in Leverkusen, Dormagen[13], Dusseldorf, Stade, Ludwigshafen, Schwarzheide, Wesseling, Cologne-Niehl, Grimmen (through Grimmener SpeziTrans), and Walsrode.
Services
[edit]TALKE provides logistics services focused on the chemical industry.[14] These include:
- Transport of liquids, bulk solids, gases, and packed chemicals.[15]
- On-Site logistics and warehousing for chemical production facilities.[16]
- Engineering and construction of logistics infrastructure.[17][18]
- Technical services such as tank cleaning and equipment inspection.[19]
Awards and Recognition
[edit]In 2004, Armin Talke received the German Dangerous Goods Award for contributions to safety in chemical logistics.[20] In 2017, the group was awarded the GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Award by the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA).[21]
