Ray Buffer, born in 1969 as Raymond Ernest Buffer Jr. is an American actor known for Into The Wild Frontier.

Early Life

Buffer was born and raised in Greenacres, Florida, to Delana and Raymond Ernest Buffer Sr. He was adopted at 29 days old and later attempted to reconnect with his biological family. In 2003 after a search, he reunited with the mother who gave birth to him, Patricia Odell. Buffer's artistic aptitudes emerged early: he learned how to play the violin and several other instruments. His interest in performance deepened during his time at John I Leonard High School in Lake Worth, Florida, where he played in theater, jazz choir, played the viola, piano, and string bass. Buffer's artistic work began with his education at Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre in 1994.[1]

Career

Ray Buffer starred in and Grounded,[2] CSI: Miami, The West Wing, and ER.[3] He starred in the movies True Lies (1994), Contact (1997), Like Mike (2002), Old School (2003), Hulk (2003), and Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (2024) and he made appearances in TV shows such as Malcolm in the Middle, Roswell, Gilmore Girls, and Weird City.[4] He played the role of a stage manager called Darrell in the HBO comedy TV series called Curb Your Enthusiasm, did a musical tour all over the United States as a singer for the Mantovani Orchestra. Buffer worked as the director and co-producer of the film Rats & Bullies.[5]

He finished working on a film called Expired about a girl hallucinating inside a restaurant where he played the role of a chef named Gup. Buffer played the role of an alien bad guy called Coman Ra in the Implosion movie, and he portrayed the bad guy The Grid in The Rising movie. The Rising premiered at the Studio City International Film Festival and was screened at the Silicon Beach Film Festival.[6] One of Buffer's performances involved taking on the role of a Russian criminal in Bullet Train alongside a cast that included Brad Pitt, Bad Bunny, Sandra Bullock, and Joey King.[7] Buffer starred in the film Mistress Candi next to his co-star Megan Rippey, which was shown at The Valley Film Festival.[8]
