Música Dispersa is an international platform dedicated to experimental music and art.[1][2][3] Founded in London in 2012 by curator **Roberto Vilela**, it operates as an independent record label, a curatorial network for live and exhibition projects, and a weekly radio programme. Although headquartered in Spain, Música Dispersa collaborates with artists, venues and archives worldwide, foregrounding left-field, do-it-yourself practices across a wide range of sonic and visual disciplines.

History

[edit]

Vilela launched the project as a vehicle to promote underground and experimental sounds beyond conventional industry channels. Since 2013 the platform has curated concerts and festivals across Europe, often in partnership with local collectives such as **Donations Project** in Bilbao.[4]

In early 2019 Música Dispersa shifted its mission towards visibility for female, trans and non-binary artists, crystallising in the initiative Women in Experimental Music.[5] The project toured venues in Spain, Paris and the United Kingdom, receiving coverage on independent radio networks such as Agora Sol Radio and Resonance FM.[6][7]
