Hunter/Game is an Italian electronic music duo formed in Milan in 2010, consisting of producers Martino Bertola and Emmanuele Nicosia. Active in the international club scene, they are known for their work in the melodic techno and ambient-influenced house genres. Their music has been released through labels including Kompakt, Afterlife, and Innervisions. They are also the founders of the Milan-based label and event series Just This.[1][2]

Career

Hunter/Game emerged from the Milan underground scene, initially gaining attention by curating independent electronic music events. In 2011, they released the track "Touch Me" on Diynamic. Their work has since been featured by media outlets such as Deep House Amsterdam, Mixmag Asia, and DJ Mag.[3]

Their debut album, Adaptation, was released in 2016 on Kompakt, followed by Silence (2019) on their own label, and Vision in 2024. The latter includes collaborations with Sailor & I, Ramverk, and Noah Kulaga, and received coverage in EDM Identity and other publications.[4]

They have appeared at international music festivals such as Sónar, ADE, Tomorrowland, and Zamna Tulum. Club appearances include venues like Fabric, Hï Ibiza, and DC-10.[5]

Just This label

Founded in 2015 by the duo, the label Just This has released records by artists in the European techno and ambient scenes. It has also hosted showcase events in venues across Europe.[1]

Hunter/Game are part of the collaboration Landside, a project combining electronic production with live instrumentation alongside Icelandic band Kúra.[6]

Their releases have been covered by international outlets including DJ Mag, Mixmag, XLR8R, and Resident Advisor.[1] Reviews have described their work as atmospheric and blending techno with ambient and melodic elements.
