Muhammad Saifullah article overwriting

[edit]

Please do not overwrite an existing article with unrelated content as you did at Muhammad Saifullah. If the person is notable, then a new article such as Muhammad Saifullah (lawyer) may be created. --Bamyers99 (talk) 16:24, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I did not overwrite the existing article; another user had already replaced its content. I simply reverted it back to the original version and made further improvements. PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 17:03, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, the version you restored lacks credible sources, and the individual does not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 17:05, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi PunjabiEditor69. Thank you for your work on Chak 169 NB. Another editor, MPGuy2824, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

please add the population with a good ref from the latest pakistan census

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Done. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 09:21, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. Also do it for the other village articles that you've started. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 09:34, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 09:39, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've added population to all the village articles I've created. Thanks for taking the time to review them! I'm planning to continue adding as many village articles as I can. Do you have any suggestions for future submissions? - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 10:52, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, since you are asking:
  • Aim for quality, not quantity. Better to have 5 town articles with more information in them, rather than 100 village articles that are just a couple of lines. I've noticed that village articles are rarely updated once the creator is done with them.
  • If you really want to continue with the village articles, then you can add the gender split-up as well along with the overall literacy %. You could add a comparison with the state's or country overall literacy rate. All this information is available in the population ref that you've already used.
  • If you can find the same information for the latest (2022 census) then use that instead of the 2017 census.
  • The Pakistan Wikiproject seems to have a todo list. See if you enjoy doing some of those.
  • You can also look at a huge cleanup list for Pakistan here: [1]
Happy editing! -MPGuy2824 (talk) 11:28, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your suggestions. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 13:14, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Nawabshah. When removing a maintenance template, please either ensure that the problem that the template refers to has been resolved, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as this change has been reverted. Take a look at getting started to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:34, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm doing it, please have some patience. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 15:35, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No you are not "doing it" you are removing wikilinks, breaking sorted lists and removing templates - perhaps I should just remove the entries without articles? Then the template can be removed. Arjayay (talk) 15:38, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Now that only government institutions are mentioned and I have already provided references for them, can we remove the template? - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 15:48, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay ?? - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 15:55, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please explain when can we remove the template? - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 15:56, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi PunjabiEditor69 - I did not reply to your post of 21 May, as I was unaware of it, since you did not "ping" me.
Lists on Wikipedia should only include entries that are "notable" in Wikipedia's meaning of the word (I wish they had used a different word, as this word often creates confusion). You have added references, although some of them, like this one,[1] look as if you are struggling to find anything. Although the references show the schools exist, they do not show that they are "notable". The only way to "prove" notability is to write an article on the subject, and have it accepted, the link would no longer be a redlink, and we would all be happy
We have a standard template Template:Uw-badlistentry which is issued as a warning to people adding list entries without articles, which, perhaps, I should have issued to you. It would read:-
Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Nawabshah appears to have added a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you.
Because of the large number of non-notable schools and other educational establishments being added to articles, many articles include hidden text stating:-
<!---♦♦♦ Only add a school to this list if it already has its own article on the English Wikipedia ♦♦♦--->
<!---♦♦♦ Please keep the list in alphabetical order ♦♦♦--->
As for removing the template, I said above "perhaps I should just remove the entries without articles? Then the template can be removed". Alternatively, please write the relevant articles. I will not delete the redlinked articles, at least until January 2026, provided you stop disrupting the article by deleting the redlinks and/or the warning template. Howvwer, I cannot say that another editor will not delete them in the meantime. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 17:06, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, thanks for explanation. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 18:09, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2025 India–Pakistan conflict, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jammu and Kashmir. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

@PunjabiEditor69: — Thanks for taking the time to review my draft and for the helpful feedback. It turns out there was another article that was actually better written that I wasn’t aware existed, so I’ll defer to that one instead. I appreciate your time and everything you do for AfC

Your draft does not have reliable sources to establish notability so it cannot be accepted at AfC. Please make sure the draft is supported by significant coverage in reliable independent sources before resubmitting. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 20:35, 24 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Reconsideration of Article Deletion

[edit]

Hi @PunjabiEditor69 — Thank you for reviewing my article on Khalil Berro.

I would like to ask you to reconsider your decision regarding the article. Please take note of the points on notability that I have outlined on the article’s Talk Page. The artist has received extensive coverage, particularly in the past year, in Switzerland’s national media (SRG SSR) and other reputable international publications. Additionally, the artist has has exhibited at major institutions such as ETH Zürich and the Modern Art Museum in Shanghai. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration! I don't see any major changes since the last submission. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 18:45, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There have been no changes since the initial submission, as the references already meet quality standards and adhere to Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. My submission on Art Safiental was also declined by the same Wikipedian who initially declined this article. I made only minor changes in the second submission, but another Wikipedian reviewed it and acknowledged the high quality of the references — which is also the case for this article. CommonAnnlee (talk) 18:53, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, I will take a look at the references when I am free. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 18:59, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, were you able to take a look at the references already? Thanks in advance! CommonAnnlee (talk) 19:09, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Resubmit, I am ready to accept it. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 19:40, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have just resubmitted it, thanks in advance and thanks for your efforts! CommonAnnlee (talk) 20:44, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome! - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 10:39, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It has been already deleted once? - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 19:01, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! No, it hasn’t been deleted, just declined for submission. Feel free to remove anything you find irrelevant or insufficiently sourced, or let me know and I’ll handle it. From my perspective, notability has been achieved. CommonAnnlee (talk) 19:05, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Khalil_Berro This? - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 19:11, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I hadn’t seen this yet, thanks for pointing it out. It seems the deletion made sense at the time, as the sources then weren’t meeting notability. That said, I believe notability has been achieved now, five years later. CommonAnnlee (talk) 19:34, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Help with improving page submission

[edit]

Good morning @PunjabiEditor69!

Thank you for taking the time to review the submission for Draft:David Hill (designer), I know it can take some time to review these pages and I appreciate your efforts. From what I understand from the short message that was left, there needs to be some additional sources that help support the significance of his work, is that correct? This is the first time I've created an entire page, so I'm a bit inexperienced in this area. If you could give any specifics on how to get this page approved, I would greatly appreciate any additional insights.

Kind regards, Laptop Retrospective (talk) 15:06, 9 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Queries about the rejection of draft:Arun Ajikumar

Hello, Thank you for taking time to review the draft.I have read the comment which you dropped. I get to know that adding more independent references about the subject will fix the issue and it will be okay for the approval, And i believe that there is no other problems in the draft.I will definitely add those independent references very soon and resubmit it. If there is anything more to change, please comment about that also. Once again thanks for your time.

Request for clarification on sourcing and acceptable references for Bioneer draft

[edit]

Hello PunjabiEditor69,

Thank you very much for your time and detailed feedback on my Draft: Bioneer Corporation.

I understand from your review that the draft currently lacks sufficient in-depth, reliable, secondary, and strictly independent published sources to establish notability according to Wikipedia’s guidelines.

Due to the limited availability of international media sources covering Bioneer, most of the references I have found (and added) are from reputable South Korean news outlets, including Arirang TV and KBS News. These sources provide factual, independent coverage of the company's activities, especially regarding its molecular diagnostics platform and international collaborations.

Could you please advise:

1. If domestic Korean media are deemed insufficient, could you kindly suggest examples or types of secondary sources that would meet Wikipedia’s standards for organizational notability for a biotechnology company like Bioneer?

2. Are there particular statements or sections in the draft that you feel remain under-referenced or need additional sourcing beyond what I have provided?

Your guidance will help me to improve the draft and better align it with Wikipedia’s content policies.

Thank you again for your assistance and support. SYParkOfBioneer (talk) 08:19, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I think the draft is promotional as highlighted by the previous reviewer. Please refer to the AfC Help Desk at WP:AFCHD for more help. I am currently inactive. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 20:01, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 16:44:10, 26 July 2025 for assistance on PolyAI submission by BretDvr

[edit]

I saw that my article on PolyAI was rejected, and I'm still not sure what you're looking for in order to make the PolyAI draft more acceptable for Wiki standards. We have linked to numerous legitimate sources (e.g., Wall Street Journal, Forbes) and removed what could be considered promotional language. I can add additional sources, but I don't know if the other cites I have would be considered any more valid than the ones I've already included.

Can you please help me understand what I'm missing?

Thanks.

BretDvr (talk) 16:44, 26 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There is not enough coverage in reliable independent sources to establish notability. Please refer to the AfC Help Desk at WP:AFCHD for assistance. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 20:04, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Answering queries about drafts your AfC decline/rejects

[edit]

Hi PunjabiEditor69, do please take the time to answer queries about drafts you have declined or rejected (understanding missing one here or there happens). Though you have not been active in the last couple weeks, all of the queries above came before that. If in a pinch, you can direct them to WP:AFCHD. S0091 (talk) 18:24, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 20:04, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I really did not mean for you to address this while you are away as we all have lives outside Wikipedia which is far more important and apologies if I came across that way. Had the queries been after you became inactive, I would not have posted the note so I do not want you to think on your away time it is expected is you stay on top your talk page. Thank you for responding, PunjabiEditor69!!! S0091 (talk) 20:22, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
All good, I didn’t feel pressured. Your note was considerate; thank you. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 17:41, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
