Flowbox is a Swedish software company that provides a platform for managing user-generated content (UGC) in digital marketing and e-commerce.[1] Established in 2016 and headquartered in Stockholm, the company has expanded through strategic acquisitions and has been recognized in European business media for its growth.
History
[edit]Flowbox was founded by Marcus Carloni in 2016, initially serving clients in the Nordic market. In 2020, the company raised €7.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Viking Venture, supporting product development and expansion beyond the Nordics.[2]
That same year, Flowbox was named one of the "10 promising Sweden-based startups to watch" by EU-Startups.[3]
In June 2022, Flowbox acquired Photoslurp, a visual commerce company based in Barcelona and founded in 2014. Photoslurp offered tools for collecting, curating, and publishing visual content, primarily for fashion and lifestyle brands.[4][5] The acquisition expanded Flowbox's reach into Southern Europe and Latin America and was widely reported in European tech and business media. Reports from Finanstid stated that the combined company had approximately 70 employees and a recurring annual revenue of SEK 80 million following the merger. [8]
In 2023, Flowbox received a SEK 11 million investment from Subvenio Invest and entrepreneur Jan Gottlander to further support its international growth strategy. [9]
The company's developments have also been reported in media outlets such as Breakit, Dagens Juridik, The New Barcelona Post, and MarketingDirecto.[10] [11] [12] [13]
Platform and Features

As of mid-2022, the company reported serving over 850 brands across various sectors, including fashion, home goods, electronics, and travel.
Leadership
[edit]Marcus Carloni led Flowbox as CEO from its founding until 2022. Following the acquisition of Photoslurp, Eulogi Bordas, co-founder and former CEO of Photoslurp, became CEO of the combined company.[14]
