Submission declined on 26 June 2025 by Qcne (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Qcne 4 days ago. | ![]() |

Apidog is an API management tool developed by Apidog, Inc. It includes features such as API design, specification generation, development, debugging, automated testing, and mock servers.[1] [2]
History
[edit]Apidog was officially launched for public use on August 30, 2022.[3] Initially, Apidog supported only Web (REST) APIs. Over time, it has expanded to accommodate multiple communication protocols, including GraphQL, WebSocket, and gRPC.[4] [5] [6] In March 2025, Apidog introduced Model Context Protocol(MCP) Server and LLMs.txt, allowing integrations between its API platform and external AI tools.[7][8]
Features
[edit]Apidog’s API management capabilities include creating and sharing API specifications, importing and exporting data, using data models (schemas), version control, and documentation sharing.[9][10][11] It also provides support for environments and global variables, and includes a mock server capable of generating customizable mock data across local, cloud, and self-hosted environments.[12] [13]Additionally, users can build test scenarios with multiple steps and assertions to enable automated API testing.[14][15]
Apidog v2.7.18 was released in June 2025. This version introduced AI-powered features that allow users to modify field descriptions and mock data within schemas, and to configure API keys for AI models to enable Apidog’s AI capabilities.[16]
