Suspected sockpuppets

I have been adding sourced information to a number of entertainment company articles. I ran into an IP editor 68.98.224.182 who then began disruptively reversing the work done with out that I request page protection for which was then 6 articles on November 6, 2014 for which the user was blocked after continuing disruptive editing. The IP editor returned after the block to continue warring on November 13, 2014 to which I filed at 3RR. I noted that Nathaniel43284 then began to take up where the IP editor left off complete to which administrator PhilKnight considered him a sock puppet of the IP and apparently of Nate Speed. PhilKnight also block Nate Spidgewood as a sock puppet of Nate Speed. Fayenatic London finds that editor Nathan3068alt has by December 2014 stashed his preferred version of the articles in his sandbox that I had fought with 68.98.224.182 over plus more entertainment company articles (now 15 articles) that I had edited. To which he responded that I "destroy" these articles and added the version urls of the versions he liked. Most of the articles' version linked were last edited by Nate Speed or Nate Spidgewood.

68.98.224.182/Nate took advantage of another sock puppeter, who reported me for "edit warring" over another disruptive editor which I respond to with a counter 3RR report which got me block. To which 68.98.224.182 jump into action on January 7, 2015 to restore the various articles:

68.98.224.182, reports an IP editor who opposed his edit war to 3RR with supposed comment that this is my sockpuppet as I am still under block thus unable to defend myself (rejected slopply reported -User being reported: 68.98.224.182; amongst other errors). Other step in by not tracking down all his OWN reversions. 68.98.224.182 manages to get himself block the next day 00:21, 8 January 2015 along with a few of pages in question. Nathan3068alt picks up editing the same set of article on 8 January 2015

After my block ends, I start reversing his removals to which he stars an edit war (in which he add additional other recent edits to retaliate) reported at RPP rejected for SPI while he again reports me at 3RR again slopply and attempting to paint it as if I am sock puppeting and again goes after another IP editor at 3RR as my sock.

As you can see the IP editor, 68.98.224.182, have acted in a coordinated manner and has connections to Nathan3068alt, Nate Spidgewood, Nathaniel43284 and Nate Speed. Spshu (talk) 14:26, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've blocked the only remaining account, Nathan3068alt, as the behavioral evidence seems quite conclusive. I don't think a check is needed right now, as the behavior is readily apparent and I didn't see anything else on the article history pages that raised concerns. Like Nate, the user has tendencies to edit war, edit film articles, including DreamWorks Classics. The IPs above have resorted to edit warring via persistent/disruptive reverts accompanied by all-caps, vulgar, and profane edit summaries, a number of which have already been revision deleted. The following page histories yield the relevant diffs: DreamWorks Classics (page history), Talk:DreamWorks Classics (page history), and User talk:Sro23 (page history). Since the privacy policy discourages linking accounts with IP addresses, consideration for a range block, monitoring, or other administrative action, such as preventive measures, are invited.   • I've extended the semi-protection on DreamWorks Classics to 3 months. Unfortunately I don't see how any sort of a rangeblock could be effective against such a massive list, and it's still too premature to attempt an abuse filter. Closing. Created Dawg-Town, a miswriting of the name Dawgtown that seems intentional given that the name is written correctly within the article, right after the latter was create-protected and its creator, User:FW365668, was flagged as a sockpuppet of Nate Speed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film#Dawgtown. information Administrator note I blocked a number of IP addresses before I realized some of them were candidates for range blocks – in fact, I had already range blocked one of them earlier this month. Besides blocking 104.244.231.34 and 128.234.130.243 briefly, I range blocked 188.126.71.0/24 and 103.14.116.0/22 for one month since they've been spewing nothing but disruption. Though their block has expired, and the area of editing seems different, there are large similarities between the RAGE EDITING style of this IP (among others, only pulling up one) with the personal attacks and reverting. Also, when I pointed out[4] the similarities between this IP and the "angry https one", they admitted it here[5]

Continued evasion of prior blocks. The IPs listed all have had the same reverts over just a few hours, with characteristic abusive language in edit summaries (see, for example, [11] (never mind, edit summaries have been deleted by a helpful administrator!)). See also this message one of the IPs left on my talk page, similar to previous such notes.
