Infobox image

Funkatastic first removed [1], than I removed again [2], the infobox image File:Ice Age – Collision Course poster.jpg as the image is for a short film called Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe which is a different film than Ice Age: Collision Course. See IMDb and official site for more on this. Until we get an image that represents this film it should remain blank. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:36, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Even if the short does serve as a teaser for Collision Course, it is still an independent production. Its poster image gives the name of the short, not the name of this article and having it in the infobox is inappropriate as the infobox image should be a poster displaying the name of this project, not something else. In the Ice Age 5 Collision Course article, it says the actor for the character Gavin is TBA. That is not true. Nick Offerman does the voice of this character. Please fix this. Assbuttfame (talk) 01:29, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have references for this?--Mr Fink (talk) 01:31, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback request - indigogate

I'm almost positive the reference given for "Carlos Ponce as a Shuvuuia" is inaccurate, can someone double check then rollback indigogate's edits? 68.41.43.52 (talk) 18:23, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

upon checking the reference, definitely not true.68.41.43.52 (talk) 18:35, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Page problem

SummerPhDv2.0 keeps on reverting my edits because he/she says my information is "unsourced" but I'm right, if possible can you block him if he were to revert my next edit to the page? Indigogate (talk) 07:18, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You need to tell us where the information came from. That is not my rule, that is Wikipedia's rule. If there is information in an article that does not have a source saying where it came from (a "cite"), anyone is allowed to remove it (as explained at WP:V). If you add the information back without showing where it came from, you can be blocked from editing because that is "edit warring" even if what you added was right.
You need to say where you got the information from. - SummerPhDv2.0 14:27, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Trailers as references

A trailer is not a verifiable source of info. What happens in the trailer may or may not happen in the movie. Character who appear in the trailer may be cut from the movie itself. Once the movie itself is released it is considered published and it becomes at that point a reliable source of info about its own content. The trailer is not the movie. Geraldo Perez (talk) 00:33, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also the trailers shown so far don't have credits so therefore actor names are not listed. It is a presumption (likely, but not proven, correct - but see WP:NOR) that the voice actors for previous films will be voicing the same character in this one. Credits should be explicitly referenced either in reliable secondary sources or, most preferred, in the credits of the film itself after the film is released. Starring cast in infobox

The starring list in the infobox should be as announced and only if referenced as starring in this film. It is a reasonable presumption that if they starred in previous films they will star in this one. Additions to the cast that have been announced should only be added if they are explicitly stated in the references as "starring" in this film. The starring list is generally short and will likely be supported officially by posters when released which will be definitive. this, the poster used in the article and these as well now states "directed by: Mike Thurmeier / Galen T. Chu", "starring: John Leguizamo, Keke Palmer, Denis Leary, Ray Romano" Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:23, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
