Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Map workshop/top
The Graphics Lab is a project to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. Requests for image improvements can be added to the workshop pages: Illustrations, Photographs and Maps. For questions or suggestions one can use the talk pages: Talk:Graphics Lab, Talk:Illustrations, Talk:Photographs and Talk:Maps.
This specific page is the requests page for the Map Lab. Anyone can make a request for a map to be created or improved for a Wikipedia article. The standard format for making a request is shown below, along with general advice, so please follow it or you may simply be ignored...
For beginner mapmakers, notice that completing or improving a blank map using SVG format is pretty easy to do :). You can download Inkscape at our Software sub-page, it makes the task so much simpler. The Map Workshop also aims to be a learning place, shaped as a talk page; you are encouraged to share your tips and request advice. We also share helpful conventions and a toolbox, as well as several map Tutorials and topographic map tutorials. Enjoy them ! :]
