- Have an account which is at least 6 months old and which has made at least 300 edits
- Agree to use the IP addresses in accordance with the Foundation's guidelines, solely for the investigation or prevention of vandalism, abuse, or other violations of Wikimedia Foundation or community policies, and understand the risks and responsibilities associated with this privilege
The above requirements are from the Wikimedia Foundation, and are not subject to admin discretion. Additionally, admins must be satisfied that the requesting user has a demonstrated need for access (for example, work at new page patrol, counter-vandalism, or sockpuppet investigations), and are permitted to decline applicants who meet these criteria but are otherwise unsuitable for access to this tool.
Once you have been granted the permission, you must check the box Preferences → User profile →

Hi there, I would like to be able to view the IPs of temp accounts to be able to revert vandalism a bit better. Specifically, some people would use multiple temp accounts, so being able to know two accounts are the same person would be helpful so it can be handled accordingly. I've been handling vandalism off and on for around a year (my account is from June 2024), and I'm currently a rollbacker. Thank you, CardboardLamp (TC) 19:34, 29 October 2025 (UTC)

Reason for requesting temporary account ip viewer rights: Essentially the same reason as monkeysmashingkeyboards, And I believe that I have Fulfilled the recommendations on my previous denial. Tankishguy 23:58, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
